Fire Princess...it has a deck based around it, but does it live up to the hype that it once had? Can a deck like that still work, or is it a deck dead in the water?*if you catch my drift*

fire princess is very underrated
it combines lp gain w/ burn which can be potentially devastating in an agent deck

It's not overrated. It doesn't see nearly enough play for that, but I wouldn't say its underrated either. It's a card that takes a very dedicated deck build to be functional, and sadly, that deck build require numerous cards to keep her alive long enough to do her thing.
I want to like this card, but until they make a card that combos with her better than the current cards, I just can't recognize her as anything more than potential.
I've run a Fire Princess deck, and it needs the following things: Speed in the form of tutors to get her to the field, continuos life gian cards, most of which sit helplessly on the field, lots of stall/protection, because she cannot defend herself, and protection form S/T cards, because in an environment like this, her life span is 1 - 3 turns even if you have attack protection for her. She's so stand alone in regards to the support she needs, it's almost impossible to fit additional burn cards or attack cards in the deck, and her 500 damage per life gain isn't fast enough.

In order to be overrated, a card must first be played.
no it's underrated.

Fire Princess is an awkward deck to run...
A lot of the cards required in the deck are just 0for1's.. they give some life and your opponent loses a bit.
And support cards like Pikeru need a LOT of protection which easily gets overpowered by Storm, Mobius, Dust, Breaker, LV5 (he doesn't care about your swords, messenger of peace or level limit lol)
It's neither overated or underated.. it's just a fun deck to play if you fancy a burner beyond the normal 3x Stealth Bird 3x Wave Motion Cannon etc.
Plus she's got good artwork.
Fire Princess is a fun deck to use. I have tried her in the GBA games WCT 2004 & WCT 2005 on my (cough) emulator. The hardest part in WCT 2004 was getting out Fire Princess & the protection cards eg MOP, Gravity Bind because sometimes I would have Fire Princess in my hand but no protection for her (my life points would be protected by Spirit reaper or the like) or the other way around eg I have MOP or Gravity Bind in my hand but no Fire Princess to burn them. Back in WCT 2004 if I had no Fire Princess to burn them but had some Life Point protection (eg Spirit Reaper, MOP, Gravity Bind etc) then I would use Inaba White Rabbit as a form of backup. In WCT 2005 instead of using Inaba White Rabbit as back up I would use Final Countdown.
I reckon Final Countdown is good in a Fire Princess deck because Fire Princess relies on stalling (to keep Fire Princess alive long enough to use her effect) & life gain (to trigger Fire Princess' effect). We all know that Final Countdown is for stall decks & the life gain can help to "refund" the 2000 LP cost used for Final Countdown.

Fire Princess isn't either, but only because there are better options in most decks, otherwise i would say it's underrated.
Fire Princess needs Solemn Wishes (or White Pikerus, etc.) + stall to work.
Solar Flare Dragon matches 3:1 , 2 SFD provide a lock + 1000 damage per turn.
Fire Princess can still be managed in a burn deck though, just need to be creative.

Has anyone said "marie the fallen one" yet?
Discard fodder and it activates FP's effect. OK, its crap anywhere except the graveyard, but there you go.
Fire princess decks. Worth un-banning painful choice for :p
Requires very little protection. Does anyone even run disappear?

Regarding Marie the fallen one, well it can be a good card, but without painful choice it's just not worth dedicating three slots and the means to discard in your deck.
Princess Burn is slow as it is already, so there's no need to slow it down anymore.
Some people do have Soul release in their side (I do for sure) as it helps against several kinds of decks and that would be a good counter.
My Fire Princess deck changed a lot over the years, but from my experience fire princess desperately needs to be combined with another theme to be successful.
My best builds we're:
- a stumbling deck, as it slows the game down into a pace that suits the princess better and some other cards can help to.
In addition, a good stumbling deck will have bigger threats that your opponent will concentrate on, so there's a chance that even after a heavy your princess will make it into the next turn.
- spell canceller stall, as it's a lp-consuming deck anyway and you almost have to include some lp-gain. And with all your traps it's not that difficult to protect your princess.
But I really would like to see some good new combo cards for her or even an upgrade - for example like this:
Fire Queen
Effect Monster (Pyro / FIRE / 6 Stars / ATK 1500 / DEF 2200)
Each time you increase your Life Points, inflict 800 points of damage to your opponent's Life Points.
That would be great :)

Marie the Fallen one is a terrible card to use without Painful Choice or Mirage of Nightmares. A burn deck doesn't have room for a bunch of discard cost cards just to dump a monster it can't summon and suicide to get to the graveyard faster.
Fire Princess (Big Bang Girl) needs a nomi similar to the Princesses (Pikeru and Curran), but with a realistic summoning condition. At minimum, it needs a 2400 defense, and it's burn effect needs to be doubled.

It's overrated beyond belief. It's treated like trash, it should be treated like dog crap.

You've never used a Fire Princess deck before have you? The deck is quite fun and can win if built well. It is definately not underrated, but I would be saying a little overrated at times. Fire Princess does require a deck built around her and support, many decks tend to fall away from this.

Over-rated ? no
Under-rated ? no
I use fire princess in my fairytale princess burn deck (some cards from soi are in it and proxied for the moment).....lots of lp gain, lots of stall, just for fun play.
if it had the right support, it'd see more play.
P.S....whats a good "knight" card to put in a fairytale deck ? I already have the fairy godmother (guardian angel joan) and princesses in the deck (fire, tsurugi, pikeru/ebon)....all the deck needs is a knight or prince...i was thinking parshath but im not sure

Airknight Parshath and that continuous card that gives you lifepoints with each drawn card?

You mean "Solemn Wishes"? Also what about "Cure Mermaid" mermaids fit in a fairy tale theme (ever heard of "The Little Mermaid")? But won't protection cards like MOP, Gravity Bind & Level Limit Area B block Airknight Parshath from attacking? I find MOP to be good because Fire Princess has 1500 DEF & Cure Mermaid has 1500 ATK so Fire Princess in defense mode & Cure Mermaid in attack mode out with MOP means that all the monsters that can slip under MOP can't destroy them & the monsters that can are stopped by MOP. Also every castle have their soldiers eg Cannon Soldier :P (to help clear some space for that 3rd Fire Princess you want to summon but can't because of no space).

All of the cards that can slip under MoP won't kill Princess or Mermaid?
Injection Fairy Lily.

Ok fine most of the cards unless they have an effect like Injection Fairy Lily or the cards whose effects destroys or removes from game by attacking. Eg Dimensional Warrior, Zone Eater or even Yomi Ship (eg get Yomi Ship to suicide against Fire Princess then take her down with it's effect). By the way I am talking about those cards which needs to attack to destroy as opposed to "Man Eating Bug" or "Time Wizard" whose effect destroys monsters without attacking or being attacked.
Edit: I just googled Dimensional Warrior & Zone Eater & realised that they don't exist in the English game (I just looked up my GBA WCT 2005 on my (cough) emulator & scanned all effect monsters with an attack less than 1500). Anyway here are the cards effects:
Dimensional Warrior
Earth/Warrior - Level 4 - 1200/1000
Effect: When this Monster attacks or is attacked, remove this Monster and the opposing Monster from the game.
Zone Eater
Water/Aqua - Level 1 - 250/200
Effect: A monster attacked by this card will be destroyed at the End Phase of the fifth turn after the attack.

Isnt there a OTW with her, Grearfried, and Spell Absorbtion on the field, then equiping Butterfly over and over to Gearfried? Of course Butterfly is banned in Advanced.
Other then that, she doesn't seem to win
Kos4Evr

Actually the combo existed before Spell Absorbtion. It was Morale boost, Fire Princess, Gearfried and the butterfly dagger. Around the time spell absorbtion came out, the butterfly dagger was banned.

not over rated by in measure of the word but she isnt underrated either
I think she is a fun challenge for anyone who likes to do things just a little differently
........and the gearfried spell apsorption thing is just lame ^ ^

its main tactic (Butterfly Dagger Elma/Gearfriend/Morale Boost) was nerfed 2 bans ago, and she's just never truly recovered...
It's kinda sad we'll never get to do that again unless they take Spell absorbtion out...

Not very relevant at all. I tried to break Fire Princess and failed epically. Typical Burn is better.
