EMOD-- I cant head judge because I'm only lv 1 judge(mainly because I dont have the money to travel to take the lv 2) and the highest lv judge there is always the head judge, it will most likely be Jerome since Jeff was the head judge at the last regional in Butler but I don't really know for sure. Maybe one of them will pop in here and tell us later when its closer to the regional date.

Yaming: Ok. I wish the test was more accessible as well, believe me -- I want to become L2 as well (and I typically don't cross state lines unless I'm playing in something. If they had the test at the Regional, I'd gladly forego playing and judge if it involved me getting to take the test.)

I should just be glad that they don't follow the M:TG procedures on judge testing to the letter. I think their Level 3, 4, and 5 tests also involve an examination of the person's character and morals. I'd get a 0 on that every time :p

And I am all pumped up from getting 12th at the regionals in Colombus a few days ago. My Earth deck has the ability to top 8, but I just got pwnd by a burn deck in round 7 at colombus. It was like a freaking OTK deck. Play ojama trio when I have two monsters. Then play just desserts, just desserts, ummm, and that trap that I take two hundred damage for every card on my side of the field/hand. He did that two me TWICE. GG.

So yeah, beware of the guy running 19 earth monsters in his deck. People were swearing at my nimbles cause they kept coming back. One game I won 14,000 to zero...

to make it more funs, you should use Pandas. Since theres alot of Sakus and Widespreads, maybe you should run Mirage Dragon with that.

The regional? The Regional runs concurrently with Sneak Preview festivities throughout the day. So people will have a couple hours to mess around with the new cards before it starts, then they can play in the Regionals. People not interested in the Regional itself can just hang out and have a good time playing with the new SOI stuff.

well that card with the name is dumb..but the one that lets you remove two insects from game to special summon, then each time it attacks you can take the top card of opponents deck to gy.i think its good..insects wont be broken lol, i over exadurated a little but they will definately be playable now..and no we cant use them at this regs

There isn't anything we absolutely positively need in this set other than the Frog to further the metagame. Some underplayed, underpowered decks get some boosts, but nothing Tier 1.

There will be more excitement before the next Forbidden List update than before this event.

Depends on the number of people.

Three game match rounds and cut
4-8 – 3 rounds (Top 2)
9-16 – 4 rounds (Top 4)
33-64 – 6 rounds (Top 8)
65-128 – 7 rounds (Top 8)
129-256 – 8 rounds (Top 8)
257-512 – 9 rounds (Top 8)
513-1024 – 10 rounds (Top 8)
1024+ – 11 rounds (Top 8)

For the last regional we had down here in good ol' Maryland, we had 339 people so we had 9 rounds.... LOOOOONG day....

The reverse is also true. If all the competitive players made a mutual agreement not to give over a certain value for certain cards, then the inexperienced players who happen to pull them won't be able to demand a high value for them because no one would pay it. Even a newb would realize their ULT Treeborn Frog was worth a lot of money if they've been asked about it for the 15th time and had 4 offers of $20+ in value on it. If no one offers them more than $5 on it, then that (temporarily) makes it a $5 card (at least within the confines of that building for that particular Regional) and ensures a good player will be able to get it for much less than it's worth.

Buy low and sell high, guys. I know, basic economics and common sense by now, but meh. If the Pojoers had actually agreed to this for the CRV Sneak Preview, then noobs wouldn't know to ask for $30 in stuff for Cybers and the experienced players, who the Cybers should be in the hands of anyway, would be walking out of there with $5 Cybers.

Points are what Common card traders use example 10,000 commons=200 points...D.D. Assialant= 200 points...so i could trade 10,000 commons to emod for a D.D. Assialant. ( this was an example the points are probley way off)

Commons = 1 point each
Rares = 8.33 points each (3 = 25)
Supers = 33.33 points each (3 = 100)
Ultras = 66.66 points each (3 = 200 but there's a 20% limit per trade with me on those)
Ultimates are 41.66 points each (3 = 125)
Starter deck foils = 16.66 points each (3 = 50)

So a person looking to get rid of all their bulk cards would give them to me and then get points based on the above list. Then they'd have that much in credit. They could get cards/cash/electronics from me at the rate of 100 points = $1. So if someone gave me 10,000 points, they could get $100/cards worth $100/whatever, as long as I can pick it up for $100.

Basically...if you have a shoebox or two full of commons/rares you'll never use and want to get rid of them, find me at the event, and you can get stuff like Cyber/Widespread/DDA or better for 'em.

Team Arena from Maryland came up and we actually did quite well despite not top 8'ing anybody.

Four of us finished 10th, 11th, 13th, and 14th... I was 10th (because I suck and always top 20 but never top 8). We all ended up finishing 6-2.

The two matches I lost, I lost to Ross Nappi and the other little kid that made top 8... so at least I lost to kids that made top 8, even if their combined ages are still 4 years less than mine... boy am I lame...

I did pull off the craziest match win I ever had... twice.


Match 1.

Third game... I'm getting owned. I have no cards on the field and 1 card in hand.

My opponent has face up attack Breaker, my Mobius that he Snatch Stole, Spirit Reaper, Spirit Reaper, and Cyber Dragon.

I have 6900 life points left- he attacks with Spirit Reaper 1st to get my card out of my hand and it's..... GOLDD WU-LORD OF DARK WORLD... yeah side deck...

So I destroy the Snatch Steal to get my Mobius back and his other Spirit Reaper that did niot attack... good game.

Match 4.

Third game... this is the craziest thing that has ever happened.

My opponent has three face up attack position monsters, I have three face down defense position monsters and a set Ceasefire.

I have 5200 life points left, he has 5100 life points left. He attacks one of my face down monsters with Mystic Swordsman LV 2. I activate Ceasefire to flip all of monsters up... the monster he attacked was KINETIC SOLDIER... yeah side deck...

He takes 3000 from the Ceasfire and 2900 for the Mystic Swords LV 2 attacking Kinetic Soldier... 5900 total... good game.

I was a luck sack that day, but my luck ran out in matches 5 and 6 where I simply got beat- but both players I lost to made top 8.
