My husband and a friend of his are having a bit of an argument regarding the use of Skill Drain with certain cards.

First is Armor EXE in use with Skill Drain. Armor's effect is a cost. Would Skill Drain negate the cost to keep Armor on the field? My husband thinks it would, but his friend says tourney rules state that cost comes before trap effect. Help would be appreciated.

Also, does anyone know if Skill Drain is on the Banned/Restricted list?

Thanks.

This should be in the Q and A forum, but I will answer your questions anyway. First and foremost, "Skill Drain" is in no form restricted or banned and as for the "Armor Exe" question, "Skill Drain" does not overwrite the upkeep cost for its effect.

So you still have to pay the cost for EXE?

Yes, cost's can't be negated. As far as I know.

So his friend was right. Thanks very much.
