Dark paladin is better, only if he is used by someone that knows how to use him effectivlly(sp?). You don't negate every spell card, in fact you let most of them go. I have a decent paladin deck in my sig.

“Dark Paladin”, of course.

DMoC has a place in a few obscure decks, Dark Paliden can be used in a Dark Paliden deck =\.

DMOC aganist all decks except for dragon decks

Assuming he doesn’t use his awesomeness to negate 66% of the mentioned cards.
Definitely, “Dark Paladin” >>>>>>> “Dark Magician of Chaos”.
But why compare 2 Level 7+ Spellcasters against each other? They’re both purely awesome just for being Level 7+ Spellcasters. It’s like comparing money with sex.

dmoc sucks in this format, dark paladin has always sucked.

DMoC will run great when the Spellcaster deck comes out, especially since Magician's Circle has already made him more playable.
I currently run a Dark Paladin deck, and while it does have to be focused around him, it can seriously whoop ass, especially when you throw in a few dragons just to beef him up, and because you can use his effect to dump and revive, or to get off his OTK.
Oh, btw, the Dark Paladin OTK:
Fuse DM and BB (optional, fusion subs can be used as long as both of these are in the graveyard).
Attack with Paladin (2900 damage)
Activate De-Fusion in the Battle Phase.
Attack with both DM and BB (5100 damage)
GAME.
So, between DMoC and Dark Paladin....
I'm biased. DP wins.

It's obviously DMoC... there really isn't any argument to why DP would be even remotely better...

yes, this is assuming they have no monsters on the feild at all, OR any traps to activate in response to ANY of these cards.
lets not forget here that he's a fusion of TWO two tributes, making him stupid, and you can only use one fusion sub, so that goes to Buster blader (if you run this, you can NEVER call yourself competitive, EVER, BB is that bad now) and you get what? a 2900 that can temporarily negate magic cards? the boost is nothing, as who runs alot of dragons?
wow, a nomi monster with a mediocore effect, impressive
horus, he may not get crazy high attack, but is infintly easier to summon, and has THE BEST negation effect IN THE GAME.
DMOC isn't that great either... though he IS far more competitive than Dark palidin ever could be, (a nomi, fusion monster.. whooo boy).
basically Dark palidan is for show, nothing more.

um. . . Magician's circle helps DMoC. . . how?
Magical Dimension will make DMoC vastly more useful, as he could then be brought to the field for the price of a Goat Token.
Until Konami creates a new discard engine or unrestricts Night Assailant, Dark Paladin wil be completely unplayable.

dark paladin was better before the ban of sinister and night assailent
but now dmoc is better simply because it removes oponent's monsters from play

DMOC since it doesn't have any summoning restrictions. Dark Paladin was good when MF came out, but Horus is way better and I still don't think it sees much play.
