Golem Sentry
Earth/Rock/4/800/1800
Once per turn this card can be flipped into face-down defense mode. When this monster is flip-summoned return 1 monster on the opponent's field to its owner's hand
Not as good as sphinx I know but it's searchability could make it playable. It also can be better than Jujitsu Master at times but has the same weakness to Cyber Dragon

An interesting idea, but monsters with flip-flop effects like this tend to be slow to use. Jujitsu Master, at least, doesn't have to be Flip Summoned.
Still, playtest it. Des Lacooda was certainly playable, and this could be too... :)

Eh... I think I am more of a fan of Mystic Swordsman LV2... Or D.D. Crazy Beast... It stops the searchers in their tracks...

I run a Criosphinx Control Deck now, so this guy owns.
Playtest him, if he don't work, he don't work.
If he does, then you've a powerful ally.

What about defense mode Rats and Turtles?
This card is at least side-worthy

Some people play it in The Netherlands, it's a decent tech card. Better than Swarm of Scarabs because of it's much higher defence, although it doesn't give card advantage.

when it returns a non-Cyber Dragon tribute monster it's a +1 because they have to sacrifice a monster to bring that out or a +2 if that monster is phoenix

Yeah.... When I run D.D. Crazy Beast... It is in my EARTH Deck... And I use Gaia Power... Forgot about that point... My bad...
But also... A lot of people don't play their searchers in DEF mode anymore because of Mystic Swordsman LV2 and Nobleman of Crossout... Of course that doesn't do a thing about Giant Rat... But it does take out Turtle...

Actually Rat will be removed
source
If "Dark Magician of Chaos" attacks a monster with equal ATK, both monsters are removed from play.

It's not really tech against only zombies, as bouncing searchers can disrupt any deck relying on them.
I actually play this IN my zombie/earth deck, as it is a good bounce card and bounce is severely underrated.
I use it to kill anything Vampire Lord can't handle or to free the way to make V-Lord attack directly forcing them to waste traps on V-Lord they wouldn't activate if they still hat a monster protecting their lifepoints.
I wouldn't fear playing against it though, as my earth toolbox includes not only golem sentry but two mystics lv2 alongside last will and exiled force, so it shouldn't be a problem to get rid of it fast ;)
It's a good card for burn decks though, as its defense can stand up to most monsters while those of the swarms of scarabs/locusts can't.

Anti-Zombie? Not against me when I sided in Call of the Mummys against bounce. But I'd say it is a nifty card.

I rarely tribute my 5*+ zombies. They get to the field either through Book of Life, Call of the Mummy, or Pyramid Turtle.
I'd say Bounce would work well against Fusions...if anyone ever played Fusions :D
