I just was reading about someone elses deck and came across the Cheerful Coffin card. I looked it up real quick for I had forgotten the card myself, and I was wondering why it wouldn't fit in a Dark World deck. It says up to 3. If you have some DW monsters, it seems like an alright tradeoff if you need the quick atk power of Goldd or Sillva, or another draw from Broww.

what else is there to dark world, besides a fast, fast summoning, or a free draw or 2?

I used one it my Dark Realm Deck and it was really bad.
I would have to wait for me to draw enough Dark ****** for it to do something and once I would they would still be alive and end up removing my field so now I'm stuck with nothing and end up drawing combos cards against assailants.
Dark ****** have huge trouble bouncing back from resource losses.

Cheerful Coffin is a great card in DW, but a very horrible topdeck.

It's too slow. Use DW lightning instead at least you can destroy something too.

A friend of mine uses CC in his Dark World deck. It works fine, although it is indeed the king of all bad topdecks.
It fits in the Dark World deck, but there are better cards to use. :)

I use the Cheerful Coffin and it works better than Card Destruction. Normally, I would have an important card in my hand, I don't want to lose it, so I use The Cheerful Coffin. It works. -1 Advantage don't matter, its just a number, and we're not playing Anacronism. In a Dark Realm deck, speed and beatdown is all that matters. Use spells to abuse. So, if you had Brown in your hand, discard him for 1 card, it doesn't matter, your just profecting the future.

In metas with chainable cards, DWL isn't a 100% reliable thing... however outside of metas with Threatening Roars, Wabokus, Gravity Binds, etc... DWL is better for it.

With my person traumatic experience running the thing, here is what I gather:
1) Crappy topdeck, like everyone has said. It is kind of ironic to pull it at a bad time; you want to draw a monster, not drop one [that you don't have].
2) Useful for swarmage only. That is all it does! There are card like DW lightning that actually do useful things.
"But the whole point is to swarm quickly!" Ah that sorta thought brings me to my next point . . .
3) Not only does it call for bad hand management, but with this kind of card it is so easy to overextend. You WILL drop all 3 of the DW cards in your hand in a single turn with this. Don't fight it, it is human nature. The temptation is to strong, so is the long run disadvantage.
Just stay without it and play something more useful

see... some of these people probably never played cheerful coffin in a 80% dark world deck..
cheerful coffin is awesome when you have goldd and silvva in your hand, but horrible when you have nothing.
i use cheerful coffin in today's tournament it helped a lot. i run 14 dark monster and 5 non dark world monsters. cheerful coffin allow you to summon dark world monster really fast, up to 3.

and if your worried about using up resources when using the cheerful coffin run card of safe return it allows you to draw 1 card for every darkworld monster summoned it replenishes your resources very well

It is only good wth card of safe return...otherwise crap...

DW is hard to build just right, card of safe return is a good answer to the anti-hand mangement feel of the deck, and is brutal if you know what your doing, and can sometimes set off a chain of events that ends the duel (dwl summon goldd, draw a card, dwl summon gold draw a card, card destruction, maybe drawo 4+1 more brron attack direct with all of them, discard a sillva.. and end the duel.. its happend for me alot)
dark world isn't perfect thought, banisher of the light ends all your fun, for a little while, and so does the end of anubius, thats why any dark world person runs Tsukiyomi, who either gets rid of anything bigger, or at least flips it down so it can be Crossed/dark world lighting.
run lots of removal, of all kinds.

Ok so whats better in a dark world deck running card of safe return than a card that lets u dump up to 3 monsters from your hand... Cause i run 2 card of safe and 2 cheerful coffin. Besides coffins just sitting in my hand until i get my goldd's or sillva's it works fine.
