I've been thinking of sidedecking at least two copies of the trap card Appropriate to counter the rampant use of Dekoichi and Pot of Avarice. It also combos well with Card Destruction and Dragged down to the Grave (the latter is a little techy.) As you can see by my post count, I'm still a little nooby, so your thoughts would be appreciated

First thing, post count has nothing to do with skill. A lot of ppl can say a whole lot of bull**** 800 times, but sometimes vets only post maybe once a week on a tourney thread or something. I know I hardly post, but when I was still playing this game, I was a very good player.
Secondly, sidedeck space is too valuable to use for Appropriate. There are other more important things to counter.

Appropriate is not worth siding against Dekoichi and Pot of Avarice. Like the poster before me said, sidedeck space is too valuable.

Quoted for emphasis.
Anywho, the way I see it, you're basically using Appropriate in response to 2 cards.
Dekoichi the Battlechanted Locomotive
Pot of Avarice
<.< Not only that, but it has no real use otherwise. It sits and waits for your opponent's action. The best Continuous cards do things on their own or at least on your resource, so you have control of it.
Continuous cards should not be used to counter your opponent's actions, as they could just manipulate it later on. So, no, it's not really that good. It doesn't counter enough, and it depends on the opponent's resource. Not good enough.
Granted, if you use Dragged Down to the Grave and Card Destruction, you give it more purpose, but I really prefer stuff like Jar of Greed. It isn't reliant on your other cards to suit it, it'll do it's own job when you need it done.
But, whatever. Point is, I don't like Appropriate. Depends on your opponent's action more often than not, and it's always reliant on another (specific kind of) card to trigger it. It's just not flexible enough to be used well.

IMO it wouldn't be worth the SD space.

No, Appropriate fails.
A better counter is MSlv2, Solemn Judgement, Nobleman of Crossout, Kycoo TGD and so forth.

Let me add this: IF you play Advanced, it is even more useless, as Pot of Greed is banned (which IMO, was the key card to activate Appropriate)

Ceasefir and Spell Absorbing Life make for a nice anti-flip set up.
