outside of 5 pieces of exodia, what's the best opening hand that you can imagine? scratch that, instead of best possible opening hand, how about just an amazingly killer opening hand?

6 total cards + more if you want to go traditional and include painful/pot/graceful

Clear the field with DH and HS, summon Cyber Stein, pay to get either BEUD or Cyber End Dragon, equip with Megamorph or limiter removal (for CED), and attack.

he summoned Breaker, I H-Stormed his Sak Armor and Trap Hole, Brain Controlled Breaker, summoned Marauding Captain, then Mataza, equipped UWS, 10,200 dmagae = pwnage.

Of course, that was on YVD, if I did that in real life I'd crap myself.

Not the best but i DREW this! Pot of greed, graceful charity, cyber jar, Chaos, raigeki, harpies. Pot of greed, then drew hysteric fairy and monster reborn. Graceful Charity, then drew united we stand, someother stuff. Discarded hysteric and cyber. Summoned Chaos, activated raigeki, harpies, monster reborned hysteric, united we standed them, attacked. Did 6400. Blowed him up. destroyed 13 or something, 3900 dmg. GG

If opponent had Imperial order that time...

Of course. It's not counterable, and it wins you the game before the game has even begun. Although, it's kind of a cheap and dull way to win, ecspecially since the point of the game is to play.

Never said it was sexy or anything; just said it would be the best opening hand possible. :D Question though: would you toss the hand? Just because it was a "cheap and dull way to win?"

For the record, the probability of having drawn all 5 pieces of exodia in your opening hand in a 40 card deck is about 1 in 106,000.

Cheap, dull, and very obviously CHEATING. Make certain that a player who uses Exodia and beats you with it seperates the pieces prior to re-shuffling for the next round.

if they choose the head to give you just use the factories
if they choose anything else just discard it and get the head with monster reincarnation and then use the factories
4 card win in a exodia deck

Cyber Stein, Omaja Trio, Zero Gravity, swords, Limiter Removal, Cyber Dragon
one problem you have to wait a turn but when you kill somebody next turn who cares
first use swords on opening turn, use omaja trio, then use zero graveity, use stein to get cyber twin, then use limiter when twin and Cyber D. on field and attack all 3 tokens and wow (4100+5600+5600=15300 dmg overkill) almost killed him twice

if u go first, ojama trio 3 secret barrel, 2 just desserts. unless they have quickplays to chain and lower the damage from secret barrels u can kill them before their main phase 1.

my combo still wins, your opp can't do ANYTHING about it...

everything else reaper, kuriboh, or elephant (for teh last turn decks) or waboku/roar can block, your opponent can't stop anything if they don't ever go :P

The day IOC came out and nothing was restricted:

I played a game with some other guy before a tourney:

I summon a 1900 beatstick, set 1 S/T, and pass.

He activated Harpie's Feather Duster. (Hand = 5 cards)
He activated Pot of Greed. (Hand = 6 cards)
He activated Graceful Charity. (Discard a light and a dark)
He activated Painful Choice. (Give him Sinister, 3 lights and 3 darks in grave).
He summons 3 Chaos Emperor Dragon.

CED attacks Archfiend Soldier. (Me = 6900 LP)
CED attacks Life Points. (Me = 3900 LP)
CED attacks Life Points. (Me = 900 LP)
CED activates effect. GG

Ouch. I FELT that. ><;;;

Hmmm....In a CC deck:

Cyber Dragon, Reaper, Smashing, Sakuretsu, Heavy Storm, Dust.

Storm them, SS Cyber, Smash, NS Reaper, set your two traps, attack. They lose at least 3 cards, you lose 2. Their S/T's and attacks on Reaper are halted by your facedowns.

And imagine drawing NoC or Mystic LV2 next... :D

These Hands really happened to me.

Marauding plus Giant Rat, last will x3, suicide rat special summoning lily two dons and a reaper.
9100 damage and -3 cards

Zombie deck
Giant Trunade
Cyber Dragon
3x Last Will
Pyramid Turtle

opponent had a zombyra in attack position ;)

from here I could choose if I wanted to have Cyber Dragon, three Vampire lords and don/lily or three reapers and a don instead.
Of course there we're many more possibilities, but these seemed the most fun ones.
Lastly I took the second option for a longer game, inflicting 2500 Damage and tossing 4 of his cards in the process.
He played an Exodia-Stalldeck btw ;)

First turn: activate painful; drop sinister, sangan, and 3 other crap you don't need. Then sp-summon CED, activate preme of M. Reborn, bring sangan, blow up, get yata (shake hands and say GGl Think in head u've been pwned)

OR my love, the Scientist Deck.

Cards in hand: U kno.

First turn: summon cannon soldier activate 2 last will'z launch Soldier GG.

almost always OTKs because I can take out their f/d monster with dark world lightning after I activate heavy storm then I can probabbly get 3 more good cards with card destruction. Plus i get the three big boys which is already 6900 damage.....and didnt even normal summon yet :P
