NOOBIE SKILL DRAIN QUESTIONS :p
Never really looked at this card until now.......so i kinda need an explanation of how the card works best...
1.So it can prevent these monsters from using their effects correct? Dd assailant, exhiled force, chaos sorcerer, mystic tomatoe?
2.What if i atk a f/d monster while skill drain is on the field..would the f/d monster gets its effect if it were a ljm or say spirit reaper?
3.If my opponent plays a mobius..i CANNOT chain a skill drain to negate it correct?
Thanks :D

1. Skill drain only effects monsters on the field. Mystic Tomato activates in the graveyard, and you remove for sorceror while it is in your hand, so they are uneffected. Exiled force is also uneffected, even though it's effect takes place when summoned. This is due to priority, and you being able to use Exiled's effect right when it is summoned. DDA, howver, would be negated.
2. Unless the monster has an effect that activates in the graveyard, like Sangan or Mystic Tomato, it does not get it's effect.
3. This one I'm not as sure about, but I believe you are correct. Mobius has already used it's effect by declaring Skill Drain, so there is nothing to stop. You could still chain it, but unless you were doing some weird combo, there would be little point.
I hope I helped.

Let me explain for Exiled Force.
Skill Drain does NOT negate costs, you can still pay the cost of an effect for whatever monster on the field (i.e. discard a card for Chiron for exemple), but you won't be getting the effect... normally
Exiled Force tributes itself to destroy a monster, meaning that its in the graveyard by the time its effect resolves, so it isn't negated by Skill Drain.
And yes you can normal summon Fusiler without any tribute and still get a 2800 ATK point monster.
The trick to a sucessful Skill Drain deck is not to load it up with unstable cards like Giant Orcs and Goblins of all kind, but to load it with cards that work around Skill Drain like Sangan, searchers (Mystic Tomato and Pyramid Turtle being the best two choices), Zombyra (still useful without Skill Drain), Fox Fire, Vampire Lord, Nephthys, Twin Headed Behemoth (thyey still returns since it activates in the graveyard, but Fox Fire can now be tributed and the Phoenix doesn't destroy anything since that part of the effect is on the field) , Newdoria or Yomi Ship (activate in the graveyard).
D.D. Assailant and D.D.Warrior Lady both activate on the field so your free from them. Skill Drain also negate face down monster's effect since they activate on the field, and you flip them face up when attacking.

This is the ruling on fusiler: "
• If you Summoned this card without Tribute, and then "Skill Drain" is later activated, the ATK and DEF are no longer halved. If "Skill Drain" is later destroyed, the ATK and DEF still remain 2800/2000." Oh and this also means that you cannot summon it without a tribute if you have skill drain already active.

Of course you can summon it without a tribute with Skill Drain out -.- that part of the effect activates in your HAND!

Skill drain will negate flip effcts. You can chain SD to a manuel flip summon and it would negate the effect. However, you can not activate SD to a flip as a result of an attack.
I hope someone can further explain the differences between DD Assailant and say, Mystic Tomato. It seems like both cards get their effect when destroyed in battle???

You be in damage step as soon as the monster is flipped and Skill Drain cant be activated then.
You ca activate SD in response to the attack in battle step.
You can NEVER chain to a summon you can only respond.

Skill Drain" negates the effects of face-up Effect Monsters on the field, but does not negate effects that activate in the Graveyard, such as "Witch of the Black Forest", "Sangan", "Mystic Tomato", "Giant Rat", "Exiled Force", "Sinister Serpent", and "Vampire Lord".

1. Priority has NOTHING to do with Exiled Force being out on the field when Skill Drain is activated. Skill Drain CANNOT negate Ignition effects that activate in the GY and the rulings clearly state that.
"Skill Drain" will not negate an Ignition Effect or Trigger Effect if the Effect Monster is not face-up on the field when the effect resolves.
3. You Can NEVER Chain to a summoning. You can respond to a summoning. Mobuis is a trigger effect that automatically gets its effect when activated. The way to negate Mobius if skill drain has already been activated.
