While I haven't beaten the game yet (I'm in Cipher Lab), I haven't had to face Miror B. unless it was necessary (and that time I went to get Nosepass). I've snagged every Pokemon, and I plan to do so until I reach Greevil.

I really had trouble catching most of the Pokemon. It makes it so hard because its during a battle and my Pokemon usually get hurt A LOT.

If you overtrain, another two words=Nest. Ball.

I've missed several. Ones I remember are Swellow and Magneton. Around the pyramid shaped base I just stopped caring and caught them if the battle was going well, but if I was losing (Hi Ardos), I would just try to KO them.

hey guy, a little word of advice, if pokemon are level 40 or less, use ultra ball

Duh, that advice isn't really helping, anyone with cash has plenty of Ultra Balls to spare. =/

I say timer balls are extremely usefull because since they appeared I've caught everyone with no problem at all simply by waiting (ahh it pays to be lazy sometimes. lol). Except Zangoose (CURSE YOU TEAM SNAGGEM!!!) but it can't be helped. Anyway is it unnatural to catch shadow lugia with a luxary ball right off the bat?

Mawile: I actually lost against that trainer, since my strongest were Eevee and a Gentle Teddiursa named Ben. Both were under level 30.

Hypno & Primeape: Got tired of their BS and KO'ed both.

Pidgeotto: Got caught in the cross fire.

Magneton: See Hypno & Primeape

Hitmonchan: Ran out of balls.

Zapdos: It almost finished my team off, and I wasn't going to try to catch Articuno in a Poke Ball again. So I waxed it.

The only ones I had promblems with were:
Poliwrath: damn critcal hit
Nosepass: another critical hit

I had no problem with catching them; I just trained at Mt. Battle intill lv40+ and bought a ton of Nest Balls and caught the Shadow Pokemon when thier health bar had the yellow color. Worked intill Greevil, then I had to use Timer Balls, Master balled Lugia(!Duh!); except for Moltres, I caught that with an Poke Ball because I was not paying attention. (Moltres was in red coloured health and was paralyzed)/ (Had Poke Ball because I did not sell the ones I found/had to buy to get a six Pokemon team)

the poekmon i missed are Moltres, Dragonite and Lugia because I did not have the master ball( the last two I really wanted ) I got them eventually though, Moltres and Lugia just refused to stay in the Ultra Ball
