when you use swords and your opponent has a face down card on the field if it has a effect does it work?? or no because swords effect flipped it?

The monster was flipped face up, so its effect activates. This applies to Flip effects and other appropriately timed effects.

Flip Effects and any effects that activate when that monster is "flipped face-up" will certainly activate. Continuous Effects will also start being in effect.

Effects that say "When this card is Flip Summoned" will not activate, as a Flip Summon is a manual battle position change from face-down Defense Position to face-up Attack Position that can only be performed during the turn player's Main Phase.

So, obviously, "Swords of Revealing Light"'s ability to flip that monster is not a Flip Summon.
