Union Query

Union Monsters state that "1 monster can only be equipped with 1 union monster at a time."

Does this mean that only 1 monster on my side of the field has the capability to
unite or
that only 1 union monster can unite with 1 monster.

The text means that 1 monster on the field can only be equipped with 1 Union monster. Not 2, or 3, etc. However, you may have multiple monsters that are equipped with 1 Union each. :)
