because it doesn't negate the attack, basically is only good when the opponent is attacking directly

true, but the best part of cylinder imo isnt the negating part, its the direct damage part

Great with the Different Dimension monsters. You take no damage and your opponent's monster is removed. Use it along with Waboku and you'll have a lot less to worry about when using DDA/DDWL.
I can't believe it does direct damage when they attack you directly. Neat! :D

it could be, but if your opponent attacks your monster how many lp can you lose?, most of the time is something like 300-500, rarely is 1000 or higher
personally i value more the monster i can save, i never use cylinder's against a direct attack unless it's gona reduce my lp to 0, i'd rather use draining shield over dimension wall

i hear ya...but i like to deal out damage rather than gain life points....but are you guys 100% sure that dimension wall works even against a direct atk ? cuz i dont wana try it at a tourney or against a good opp. and get laughed at .....jus wana make sure thats a legal move and the correct way to play it

Yes, "Dimension Wall" works even if your opponent is attacking directly. After all, your opponent is still dealing Battle Damage to you with their monster, even with a direct attack.

I have 3 of these and a Cylinder in my sidedeck for Rescue Cat OTK.
If you have NOTHING on the field, your opponent takes full damage, because technically you would be taking fulll damage.
This card is a REAL kick in the teeth when your opponent sets off 2 in one attak phase, they just stop attacking that turn.

Just side Threatening Roar/Waboku for OTK by attack.
This thing is close to useless.

I have a deck that runs both 3 copies of Nimble momonga and Giant Germ. My friends like to use trample decks against me because of this.
So, when they attack a F/D nimble with their Airknight, and I activate DW against them, they won't get to draw a card, I get to sp summon my extra nimbles, and I get 1000 LP. Plus they take 1800 LP damage.
It's good in decks with weak Atk Monsters.
