Why wasn't Needle Worm semi-limited in the last restriction list? I mean, with three of these bad boys in one's deck, you have the potential to take out fifteen of your opponent's cards. That's 37.5% of a 40 card deck! And it seems to me that the only type of deck nobody's afraid of is one that attacks an opponent's deck, not their life points! I know, with Pot of Avarice and all, it'll be harder to deck out, but still, forty cards can end up either removed from play or in the Graveyard pretty quickly.

Obviously not, if you're the only one complaining about it. I LOVE seeing Needle Worm against my deck.

Needle Worm is one of those cards that sits very low on my radar. I don't much care about it now, but I realize the potential is there for it to suddenly become a serious problem. There are a lot of cards that seem bad or average, but given 1 good supporting card, that card becomes the definition of brokenness. Goat Control => Tsukuyomi x2 - 3, Metamorphasis x2 - 3, Book of Moon x2 - 3, Scapegoat x2 - 3, and TER x2 - 3. Alone, none of these pieces is anything special or godly, but as a whole, they are broken.
Needle Worm is one of those cards just waiting for 1 card release and a single person to put the pieces together. Dark World may not even be a viable answer depending on the support. There are cards to prevent summoning, and if a card such as Royal Oppression works against Dark World, then Needle Worm is already 1/2 to 3/4s of the way there. I'm positive SOI will give this card more power than it already has. 2 Needle Worms and a Book of Taiyou (a very realistic and do-able combo with cards such as Shallow Grave x3 and the upcoming Graveyard of Revival x3), you can potentially lose 15 cards form your deck in a turn. Come SOI, 2 dead Needle Worms become - 15 cards, and they feed Devildozer who WILL do damage and take 2 more cards. Since Devildozer is a special summon, Chainsaw Insect can be summoned that same turn and will force you to draw. You've lost 18 cards + your first turns 6 cards, leaving you at minus 24 cards in 2 turns or less, not to mention you are now facing some big threats thanks to Needle Worms type. Add on currently existing cards such as Morphing Jars and Card Destruction, and you may be facing a new consistant 1TK deck very soon.
Needle Worm may not be godly now, but I do think it should be limited or semi-limited soon, before it does becomes the CC 1TK monkey to burden Advanced format's back for 6 months.

I was beaten by the efforts of Needle Worm. Once. Because the little jerk drew out my NoC first turn on his Legendary Jujitsu master, and proceeded to set three Needle Worms in a row. With Messenger of Peace. Against my aggro deck. I could indeed attack with specifically ONE monster (though I forget which), but then he played Shallow Grave... followed by Magician of Faith... to pull back Shallow Grave. Yeah. Let's hear it for crap hands.
My point is, Needle Worm can be a pain when played against the right opponent with proper protection. Like virtually every other half-way decent card. Otherwise, it gets laughed at. As I have done to every other person who used it against me since then.

I tend to side in Twin Headed Wolf. It negates flip effects it destroys. I do tend to run fiend based decks so it effect works out.
But if they managed to get messenger of peace, all three of the worms, and everything else. They got what is essentially the best possible hand they could have gotten.
If it happens on an Overly Constant basis (50% or more of the time), then I'd say that the Worm should go up for consideration.
Since it is specific to just that decktype, I don't see it being banned. If it somehow spread to every deck... ok then.
