I play (among others) a stall/flip/flop control and almost always (90%+) win game one. However games two and three are rough. Many people side mazata, mobius (and main), rageki break, etc. Any ideas.

Cards I usually side in:

trap hole
divine wrath
brain jacker
Lava Golem

I've been playing it for about two months and have had alot of succcess so I want to take it to Regs.

Thanks.

Gneric anti-stall include Royal Decree, Mobius, and other stuff.

Solemn Judgment can probably take care of most of them. Bottomless Trap Hole too.

I'm assuming you are playing a burn/stall hybrid.

Lets first start by listing all the cards that people side in against burn/stall decks.

In no particular order.

Royal Decree (Stops Gravity bind)
Dust Tornado (Stops lots of stuff)
Mobius (Stops lots of stuff)
Maybe Chiron the Mage (Stops lots of stuff)
Mystic swordsman LV2 (I HATE this card in my burn dec) (Slips under stall and nukes facedowns)
Mataza (Slips under stall cards)
Ceasefire (Their own burn card)
Wave Motion Cannon (To burn you since you probably have no s/t removal)
Des Wombat (Slips under stall and stops your burning)
Giant Trunade (Counters stuff)

These are the most common ones I have seen.

Now we shall make a list of cards that will counter these cards:

In no particular order:

Bottomless Trap Hole (Counter to Mobius, Chiron, Wombat)
Horn of Heaven (Seriously, counter to all of the above + swarm of locusts/mataza/Mystic LV2)
Swarm of Scarabs (Sounds like you already run this in your deck, counter to All of the above)
Solemn Judgement (Counter to EVERYTHING! (I really really really want 3)
Mobius the Frost Monarch (laugh all you want, counter to decree and wave motion)
Giant Trunade (See above)
Cursed seal of the forbidden spell/magic drain (these will stop wave motions and giant trunades in their tracks.)

So basically your anti sidedeck is divided into two groups, spell and trap removal (for waves and decrees) and monster removal (for all those nasty critters).

Here is a possible anti-anti stall sidedeck.

3x Solemn Judgement
2x Giant Trunade
2x Swarm of Scarabs
2x Mobius
2x Bottomless Trap Hole
2x Horn of Heaven
2x Cursed Seal of the Forbidden Spell

This, in my opinion, is one of the best burn/stall sidedecks out there.

Hope that helped you!

side out monsters. put in 3x skill drain, and max out the stall, chain energies, wave motion cannons, and other s/t that inflict damage. a friend of mine did this at nationals and got 26th place. ;)

Could you be more specific on the cards you are talking about?

Matazza sucks. Thats all. Your meta must be slow because in WI we got over matazza like before teh end of the last ban lists.

People play with Mataza because he slips under almost all stall (save Wall/Swords of Revealing Light) - twice, there are few cards that can say the same, and no better cards - it's searchable - Last Will, Reinforcements, Sangan - and unrestricted in any way.

I can see why people play Mataza, but I don't see why it would matter, Spirit Reaper, Swords, and anything bigger than it - even if they can't attack - can stop it in it's tracks, and there is Monster removal that is as searchable, which is better to have anyways.

I'm running a similar deck-type and have been wondering the same thing. I've not encountered Raigeki Break or Mazata the Zapper, but I usually use Solemn Judgment to counter anything that would screw me over. As far as monsters go, I get extra protection from Stumbling. Then, on my turn, I flip-summon Swarm of Scarabs or Medusa Worm and kill it before it can be a problem.:)

((mech-hound: Would you mind taking a look at "My Aggrevation Deck"? r/f for r/f, thanks!))

I got one question. How do you max out the stall and wouldn't the low level monsters murder me? What would I side against them?
