Are there any tournaments that are still held in traditional formula?

You have small card shops and some tournaments like Books-A-Million (UDE but not for points) where some stores may vote on what format to play, like the one I go to, but this is all i can say.

Hobbytown by me does Traditional and advanced tournies, both for points. But the only people that really play Traditional are little kids who are just learning up there.

I think that Traditional should take the place of advanced, because in it's present state it just went down hill majorly. :)

we have both, most people go to one or the other, but the regulars at the store play both for the hell of it and to make a lot of our old favorites (as most of us regulars played since LOB) playable for a day. We have a large turnout at one each weekend. Sometimes a lot of people at traditional, but more often than not have the advanced format days been larger turnouts.

Just look around, or request to the local Tournament Organizer at your card shop to host traditional and advanced format tournaments.

Traditional tournaments still exists in smaller venues. They are mainly designed for players who are just starting to play Yu-gi-oh or for players who do not enjoy the advanced banlist. Sadly, almost nobody plays it because of the severe amounts of higher-chance of FTK execution (yes FTK not OTK) or "Chaos Control" slaughterhouse.
