OK I need help, Iv become champion and im trying to catch Groudon but when I talk to the Weather Institute it says the weather has calmed down? Iv already cought Kyogre what should I do :confused:

If you're playing Sapphire then you can only catch Kyogre. If you're playing Ruby you can only catch Groudon.

From what I've read you can only catch one of them. I'm not positive on this though.

you can catch both. just wait a little bit. IIRC, you don't get told right away. just be sure to check back a lot

That's strange. You didn't use a cheating device, did you? I've played thru twice on Emerald and both times after beating the E4 and getting the Frontier Pass I've gone to the Weather Institute and the dude says there is a drought or rain or whatever and the Route it is by. And both times Groudon and Kyogre are there where he said ready to be caught. So you should definately be able to catch both if you're playing Emerald. Does anyone else play on your cart? Maybe a little brother or sister? If so then that might explain it too.

Its just me playing and im not cheating playing it through, I tryed to catch Groudon but he fainted, so keep checking back with the weather man, and has anyone caught Latios or Latias if so were did you find them. thank to the ppl for the previous answers.

That may be the answer, if I remember right, a legendary pokemon knocked shall not be catchable, at all.

You fainted Groudon? Well then it's gone from the game! The same thing happens with the other legendaries like Kyogre, the Regis, Rayquaza, Lati@s ETC., If you faint them they do not reappear. That's why it is always a good idea to save right before any of these battles. Obviously if you restart a new game on that cart then everything will be reset then you'll have to beat the game again for another chance at Groudon.
