It is true. Info from Tvtome. :)

Actually, the way CN is working YYH now, the new episodes will probably be shown in May. This saturday will have Overcoming Grief, then the week after will be Beginning of the End, then they will skip for a week, then they will go into the new episodes on the first or second week of May. Then, every saturday we will see new YYH episodes and in 4 months (12 episodes = 12 weeks) it will get to the next saga. Can't wait ;) !
Plus, I heard this on Toonzone (semi-official Cartoon Network/Toonami) forums.
"Yu Yu Hakusho was confirmed to have the rest of the series airing, which means the rest of the Dark Tournament, Chapter Black, and a saga that hasn't yet been given a name but will probably be somewhere along the lines of Demon Tournament."
This was said by a normal member, but if it has been confirmed and this is regular knowledge over there then it's probably official.

Yeah, CN sucks that way. I really think it's going through this time though. I guess we will have to wait and see.

So they'll be playing the show all the way to the end, including the Makai Saga?

man this actually kinda sucks
i mean i want to see it, but im buying them as they come out unedited
the makai tournement and the chapter black saga's are the most violent sagas. they are gonna have a field day dicing these eps...its gonna suck so bad..
J Man Cool

of course we may get lucky and have it being uncut like they did back with midnight run and adult swim and stuff.
WoodenCoyote
04-27-2004, 05:38 PM
Yea, but more than likely that won't happen :(
Dreakon

Toonami is attempting to be more mature. I doubt the beginning of Chapter Black will be lightly edited, but by the time the Makai Tournament rolls around I think they will ease up on the editing.

i wish everyone would stop focusing on how much editing there gonna do because edits are gonna happen whether we we like them or not Because Funimation has guidelines they have to follow and CN has guidelines they have to follow. Yu Yu hakusho gets a TV-14 rating just like inuyasha does its not gonna get any higher then that because toonami is still a kids block i mean heck they don't even have TV-M ratings on adult swim. Now on the Other hand on Tech TV they basically leave their animes uncut because most of their violent hardcore animes are TV-M and they come on at 1 am- 3:30 am sometimes thats why they can get away with it.

Ease up, man.
We're allowed to discuss it and be concerned because this is a show we like. It's disheartening to see something you enjoy changed, for any reason.

well it doesn't really matter to me as long as i can buy them or....aquire them by....other means....

what are you telling me to ease up for its not like i didn't say anything that wasn't true. you know the edits are gonna happen why complain about them just be happy that your getting to see it on TV if not you'd have to go searching for the eps on the internet or buy the dvd's. also change is always gonna happen no matter if you like it or not changes is inveitable.

Its good to dream.
As long as its about pleasent things, of course. I wouldn't like to have some of Hiei's dreams, poor guy.

yea but your talking about something you know is gonna happen whether you like it or not. even if yu yu hakusho was on a different basic cable/satellite channel it wouldn't be uncut the only way it would be uncut is if it was on the premium channels such as HBO or Showtime or Starz but that will never happen so, what i'm saying is enjoy what you got because its better then not having any yu yu hakusho at all.

I've been looking foreward to seeing the end of the dark tournament. Everytime they get close to those episodes they just restart from the beginning or get rid of toonami all together during the week and replacing it with crappy cartoons like ninja turtles or that one spy show with the girls.
How many episodes are left in the series?
Dr. Casey

...Ninja Turtles isn't crappy.

Actually if YYH were moved to the Adult Swim section of Saturday night we'd be able to see it uncut. So, since CN likes to move these shows around a lot for no apparent reason, seeing future episodes uncut isn't as impossible as you make it out to be, although it's highly unlikely.

wrong its as near to impossible as your gonna get its almost as impossible as me winning the lottery tommrrow and becoming a millionaire. it would never be uncut because even the shows on adult swim aren't uncut. i thought i already said that. you have to buy the uncut dvd's to see yu yu hakusho uncut because you won't see it uncut on CN because they would get fined like crazy because they have rules they have to follow even at 1 am in the morning.

Umm....Define uncut. When Adult swim first started showing yyh it was uncut, as in the sweared and showed all the blood that was intended. Shows like inuyasha and cowboy bebop are uncut as they also allow swears and large amounts of bloodshed. However, I do beleive they aren't ENTIRELY uncut, as Inuyasha has some nudity that that was showed in the manga which I'm sure CN had to cut out. For the most part though, you'd get just what you wanted unless the scenes involve nudity, adult situations or something too gruesome to show.

Adult Swim also had the famous "disembodied voice", where they censored a scene involving to men having sex in Cowboy Bebop. They just painted over one of the men and drew a pillow in. The only problem was, they *both* had lines :o
I guess the effect they were going for was a man making out with his pillow while talking to God

completely unedited your not gonna see a completely unedited episode of yu yu hakusho or any anime on CN. the only and i mean only time you will actually see very close to completely uncut anime on basic cable/satellite is on techtv there shows get the Tv-MA rating. also you can see completely uncut anime on the action channel because they own the rights to show every anime that the manga company owns.

There is a channel named Locomotion, i dont know if its on the U.S. too, its channel 114 on Directv. On that channel the Anime is completily uncut, they are even planing on bringing hentai this year.
They have Cowboy Beebop but i dont know if they are going to bring some of the other CN shows, they also showed Pilot Candidate before CN and a series i saw in the Adult swim list but i dont know if it was canceled for CN because the list was very old, the series was Serial Experiment Lain. That channel is one of the basics of Directv here in Puerto Rico, i like it because they ask for the viewers to tell them the series they want to see and if many people ask they show it.
I hope some day they show Y Y H and Rurouni kenshin there.

makes me wish there would be a seperate channel for us anime lovers to watch our own shows, unedited, at reasonable times. then again, thats probably not gonna happen. more appropiate word: never.
edit: i mean, for those of us who cant afford satelite tv.
