Yugi vs Kaiba: The Traditional Version

Hey everyone. I usually don't play traditional format, but I decided to post traditional versions of both of my decks after not seeing any character decks around here for a while (maybe for like a week or so) and playing against my friend's traditional deck against my advanced deck (my decks didn't do that bad but still they would've stand more of a chance if they were traditional). My decks are based solely on the cards that each character used or were shown possesing in the anime, manga, and the Pyramid of Light novel. I'll accept any r/f as long as they relate to the themes.

Wise_Duelist03: Thanks for the rate. I can see why you would choose the Kaiba deck since most of the monsters in it are stronger than the monsters in the yugi deck. It's also more agressive and a lil bit less combo-oriented. But the yugi deck kinda makes up for the lack of attack strength with its S/T cards and monster effects. That's pretty much why it would be hard for me to choose.

shadowpenguin: I don't think BEUD has been released yet since the January issue of Shonen Jump hasn't been released yet and probably isn't due for release for at least 2-3 weeks. WHen it does come out in stores like waldenbooks and suncoast, I'll be sure to get one.

lorndarken: Yea I agree. If kaiba's and yugi's Japanese cards were out in english, both decks would get quite a boost. But until then, I can only dram and hope that they get released soon.

I'm not sure if I would add cyberstein if and wen I get BEUD, even though it would help summon him a lot faster, since Kaiba never used it (although I'm pretty sure he would if the characters played with 8000 LP). I guess we'll wait and see.

I'll try to get to your decks as soon as possible when I have time. Thanks for your comments. Anybody else wanna give any r/f, comments, etc?

Definitely, the Kaiba deck is better. The Yugi deck has a lot of situational cards, that won't work too well without the cards that support it. 8/10

Sorry I took so long to respond. I've been busy. thise decks are pretty interesting, but most of them were using card staples and/or doubles of the characters' main cards. I want to make my deck accurate to the anime/manga as close as possible. THanks for the help though.

Since I updated my advanced format versions of my decks, I decided to update the traditional versions of them as well. How are they now?

Additional Comment:
I finally got to update my deck. For the Yugi deck, I took out the Silent monsters and added a few new cards, but I'm not sure about whether I should try to add them back or not. For the Kaiba deck, I just added XY-Dragon Cannon and took out Last Turn for Burst Stream of Destruction. How are my decks now? Any ideas on how to improve them?

Yea I know, but Winged Kuriboh was originally his, and his effect could come in handy at times, so that's why I'm considering putting him into my sidedeck. Not sure if I should pick him over Watapon though.

Both decks have good and crappy cards in their arsenal. They both look like an even match. Just depends on who gets what first and at the right time.
