I wanted to transfer my pokemon from my RED cartridge to my SILVER cartridge. I dumped all my boxes of pokes from RED into the N64 BOX. Then, when I tried to transfer the N64 boxes to SILVER, it said i needed to have caught 150 pokemon in order to trade from an older version to a newer version (R/B/Y to G/S/C...)

So.. Is this like, an unlockable feature that you gain after catching 150 pokemon? Do the 150 have to be the originals? It seems like it would be quicker just to catch 100 magicarps and trade between 2 gameboys, 1 by 1...

I have never en-countered this feature...you might have had to catch them in the G/S/C games in order to do it...I will check it out and have info in about a week...I am kinda busy right now...

check www.serebii.net too

I don't think Pokemon Stadium 2 is on Serebii.net. Oh, and when it says you need to capture 150 pokemon, I'm pretty sure that it means you need info on 150 pokemon on your pokedex.

Every pokemon game that they made will be on serebii.net

Well I don't see Pokemon Stadium 2 anywhere under video games so you might want to go see yourself.

you have to get every 150 pokemon en order to do it like the way you were.
i'd do it the old fasion way and trade through the gameboy cord.

Unfortunantly, you need 150 different Poke'mon. But lookat the bright side, the feature of moving poke'mon that way is great, I did it once, but then accidently deleated the save file on my Silver game. Haven't played any poke'mon (Red through Silver at least) game since.

They should have made a Pokemon box version type game for the older generation.

you need 150 pokemon to do this. i have done this very much with pokemon silver but when i tried to do the same with pokemon gold who i almost had caught nothing it didnt work anyway im sure its beacuse of when you start the game on new game you can only trade with the silver/gold/crystal
games you wont be able to use the time capsule(where you trade with red/blue and yellow before you come to the ghost gym city(or whatever the name was again) anyway nintendo made the game that way so you shoudnt be able to trade with those games before you have got to the ghost city
(or its just a sale's trick to sell more link cables...)

On a simmilar, train of thought, in stadium 1, if you are to dump your pokemon in a box on 64 and then start a new game, will you still be able to pick them up, because I tried to dump a TM from RED in the N64 box and pick it up on BLUE, but it wasn't there when i went to fetch it.

Doe sanyone know anything about this?
