Hey guys, Here's Act 3 of ToT :D . I changed the title and I think it sounds better. I'm hoping I didn't miss anything as far as edits :p
Tournament of Tournaments- Act 3: The First Sighting In One Year! Obelisk In Domino City!
Two days have pass. Battle City begins in four days and Yami and has still not come any closer to learning how to 'truly' play Duel Monsters. He walks up and down the millions of stairs that line the Thousand Brick Puzzle that link both his and Yugi's minds. Opening door after door trying to find any anwsers. He does not like the fact that Yugi has to enter the Battle City fight tournament. Yami has done his share of fighting in the past 3000 years. Being Pharaoh meant that he had to defend those without fangs and his land, but the young Yugi is no fighter. True, he will put himself in danger if his friends are in danger but that does not make him a fighter. Yami opens another door and it leads to another dead end. He sighs a heavy sigh and continues.
"I must find the answer." Yami says.
Meanwhile, it is afternoon in Domino City and inside the gym of Domino High School, Yugi and Tristan face off against each other.
"I don't like this buddy." Tristan begins. "I feel better about Joey in Battle City than you Yugi. Just let me take your place man."
"You can't Tristan. Shadi said that I had to enter the tournament. I need you to teach me how to fight until Yami finds out what Shadi meant by truly playing Duel Monsters." Yugi says.
"What do you think he means by that?" Tristan asks.
"Dunno, but now you were teaching me how to throw a good punch." Yugi says.
Tristan nods as he snaps into a fighting stance. Meanwhile, Joey walks to Domino Hospitol with Anzu.
"Serenity'll get her bandages off in about a week or so." Joey says with a spring in his step.
"That's great Joey." Anzu begins. "Ummmmm, Joey I've been meaning to ask you, what's up with the idol shades?" She continues as she points to the sunglasses Joey is wearing.
"What! These!?! Nothing Anzu! Nothing at all." Joey says as he waves her off.
"Oh come off it Joey. You've never worn sunglasses before. Whaaaaat? You think you're some kinna rock star?" Anzu says.
"No!" Joey says.
"Oh, I get it! you're trying impress someone! Maybe that flower girl in the gift shop?" Anzu says.
Joey then begins to blush alittle. True he does have a thing for the flower girl but that is not the reason for the sunglasses. The truth is Joey have riding the Dark Scorpion Gang hard in gangbusting 'training' and last night a Dark Scorpion got a lucky shot on him and he has a rather nice shiner, but what can he say to the nosey Anzu?
"You ummmmm ... found me out Anzu."
"I knew IT! See you can't hide anything from me! Joey- The Lover Boy!" Anzu laughs.
The two then pass a newsstand and Anzu reads the newspaper headline.
" 'Gangbuster Hits Dark Scorpions Hard!' What an idiot."Anzu says.
"Huh? What do ya mean by that?" Joey says.
"Fighting gangs is the job for the cops. Not one guy! He's gonna get killed and I bet he's not thinking of nothing but the glory of the headlines. Who does this fool think he is? Some kind of superhero? He's an idiot you ask ..." Anzu says.
"Anzu lay off him o-kay. He does good in Domino! Better than the worthless COPS!" Joey says.
"Sorry Joey, didn't know you felt so ... strongly about it." Anzu says.
"Forget it. I'm sorry. Let's go." Joey says.
As both Joey and Anzu continue to see his sister, in the Kaiba Corp. Building in the middle of Battle City, the Kaiba Brothers sit in the boardroom with their five female boardmembers in one of the many Battle City Meetings.
"Now, Battle City begins in four days." Seto begins. "Marketing..." He continues as he turns to a red head with her hair up in a bun. "Talk to me."
"Everyone and their grandmother wants to be part of Battle City. From candy stores to car manufacuers. We made the deal with the cable and satilite television. We're going have three channels when Battle City begins." She says.
"How many major sections will Battle City have?" Seto asks.
"Five Seto." Mokuba answers.
"I want five channels up and running." Seto says.
"Done." The Red head says.
"Legal status..." Seto begins as he turns to a woman with raven black hair. "Go."
"Thanks to young Mr. Mokuba, the legal department was able to sent reports and wavers to all Level C Class Fighters. The said fighters must sign the wavers to enter the city and fight. Also all new fighters must sign wavers at the sign-in stations." The black haired woman says.
"Good." Seto said. He then turns to a blonde woman with very long hair and to much make-up as he says, "Budget."
"Everything is in the black Mr.Kaiba. I did compensate that you would want at least two more channels for Battle City. The M.T.M.T.E. Machines are within budget just by string, but I only have one concern. Kaiba Corp. will drop by one fifth if and only if 1: All of Battle City is destroyed and 2: The U.S. is not interrested in the XYX Machines and 3: You are not the winner." The blonde says.
"Noted." Seto says. He then turns to a blonde with short hair. "M.T.M.T.E. Talk to me."
"The X-Head Cannons, Y-Dragon Heads and Z-Metal Tanks are ready to roll at the start of Battle City. We got 10,000 of each in combination with the other vehicles in the city. The Mechanical Chasers are ready as well. We have 4,000 in number. We also have your Mech. Chaser in the C.T.R. to spar with." The short-haired blonde says.
"Good." Seto says. He then finally turns to Fraser. "Appointments?"
"Your afternoon is free Mr.Kaiba." Fraser says.
Seto then rises from his seat and begin to walk out of the boardroom.
"Good. I'll be in the C.T.R. then. If there's anything else ... Mokuba'll handle it. This meeting's over."
Time passes and back in the city of Domino, Joey and Anzu leave the hospitol and head to their homes.
"It seems that your sister is doing very well Joey." Anzu says.
"Yea. The doctor says that she'll be out soon." Joey then says.
Suddenly, a voice sounds behinds them. The voice is deep and abit raspy.
"That's good. It'll be a shame if you and your sister were laid up in the hospital ."
The two quickly turn to lay eyes on a group of five thugs. Four men and a woman. They are clad in red and black with black scorpion tatoos on their arms.
"Black Scorpions." Joey says. He then turns to Anzu and says, "Get outta here Anzu."
"I'm not leaving you here alone with these thugs." Anzu says.
"Da more the merrier duckie. We could always have fun wit ya when git done wit Wheeler." The Black Scorpion wearing a pair of glasses says.
"Quiet Cliff! We deal with the gangbuster." The leader, Don Zaloog says. "Now Wheeler, we can do this easy ... or we ..."
Before Don Zaloog can even finish his statement, Joey springs towards him. In a flash, the female member of Zaloog's group, the whipcracking Meanae draws a bullwhip and fires it at Wheeler. The whip strikes Joey square in the chest and the hit throws him to the ground.
"Why do they always pick the hard way?" Don asks.
"Cause they're always daft!" Meanae says snapping her whip back. "Like him."
"ANZU! RUN!!" Joey yells.
Anzu nods and then takes off like a rocket. Cliff and the other two men of the group, the strong man Gorg and his buddy the much smaller Chick try to stop her when Don's voice is heard ...
"Let're go lads. We got the one we want."
"I gotta find Tristan and Yugi! Fast!" Anzu thinks as she darts down the street.
As Anzu races to finds help for her friend, a young man fights for his. The young man is clad in baggy blue jeans, a white tee-shirt with a red and blue jacket over it, sneakers and a ballcap. The ballcap covers his eyes. Upon closer observation, you could tell that this eighteen year old has seen his fair share of streetfights. At his side is a Pikachu. A lifetime ago this yellow with brown stripes one foot, four inch long electrc type Poke'mon looked sooooooo cute but now like his master, Pikachu looks like he's seen more than one street fight. At the two's feet is the young man's love, a young woman named Misty. She is broken and bleeding. Facing them is the Ultimate Fighting God - Obelisk.
"I came to this city because I felt a powerful fighting force." Obelisk begins. "So far I only come across a useless woman and a BOY!!!!!!!"
"I'm no boy you freak. The name's Ash." The young man says as he snaps into a fighting stance with Pikachu growling and building an electrc charge.
"Do you have ANY idea who talk to BOY?!?" Obelisk asks.
"Who?" Ash ask with a <pojo ownz><pojo ownz><pojo ownz><pojo ownz>y lop-sided grin.
"GOD!!!!!!" Obelisk yells as he launches a punch down toward Ash.
"PIKACHU! SPLIT!" Ash orders.
The two serperate as the punch hits the ground with an amazing force. Everyone in Domino feels the shockwave. Anzu is thrown to ground. Joey uses the shockwave to escape the Black Scorpions and even Yugi and Tristan in Domino High gym are thrown to the mat.
"What was that?" Yugi asks.
Yami then appears before Yugi and says, "Obelisk. Yugi, we must hurry!"
Meanwhile, Ash lands and builds his ki. He shoots a look between Obelisk's legs to see if Pikachu is in place. With a nod from his Poke'mon, Ash gives the command ...
"THUNDER BULLET!"
Pikachu then leaps towards Obelisk with lightning speed trailing energy. Obelisk then fades having Pikachu streak through him a toward Ash. With a smile, Ash catches Pikachu and leaps into the air with Pikachu still trailing energy. At the height of the leap, Ash throws Pikachu continuing the Thunder Bullet at Obelsik. Obelsik then deflects the attack sending into a building.
"PIKACHU!" Ash exclaims as he lands.
"It will take more ... MUCH more than a rat to stop THE ULTIMATE FIGHTING GOD!" Obelisk says.
Ash grits his teeth and snaps into a fighting stance once again. Yami (now taking over Yugi's body) and Tristan race closer and closer toward Obelsik and Ash.
"Yugi, do you think it's wise to go to where the shockwave came from?" Tristan asks.
"We have to Tristan! The city is danger from the Ultimate Fighting God!" Yami says.
"The what?"
Suddenly, the two run into Anzu.
"Yugi! Tristan! Joey was taken by the Black Scorpions and ... " Anzu begins.
"Slow down Anzu. What Joey and the Black Scorpions?" Tristan asks.
"No ... huff ... Time ... puff ... Come ... huff ... On!"
"Tristan, go with Anzu and help Joey. You'll be of more help to her. I'll go on ahead." Yami says as he continues on.
Yami then rounds the corner and comes face to face with the Ultimate Fighting God. Yugi and even Yami is taken aback by the sight of Obelisk. Ash looks back at the younger looking Yami and says ...
"Hey kid! Gitouttahere!"
Ash then looks towards the building Pikachu was thrown into. He then sees a flash of light and orders Yami to cover his ears. Ash then with sharp, loud and clear voice, orders ...
"PIKACHU! SONIC BOOM!!"
Pikachu then streaks out of the building at superspeed and through Obelsik's legs. After a second a sonic boom is made having every window in on the block shatter. The attack, however impressive, does nothing to Obelsik.
"This now bores me boy." Obelsik begins as he clinches his fists. "NOW DIE BY THE HAND OF GOD!"
Obelsik then throws a punch so powerful that heavens seem to scream as it comes down toward both Ash and Yami. Suddenly, Isis' voice is heard in Yami's mind.
"Draw your deck my Pharoah."
Yami does it without question.
"Draw the first card."
Again, Yami follows Isis' voice to see the first card ... Swords of Revealing Light.
"Now, my Pharoah ... SUMMON THE MAGIC!"
"SWORDS OF REVEALING LIGHT!!!" Yami yells.
Yami's puzzle begins to glow and swords of energy fall from the sky coming between them and Obelsik. The punch hits the energy swords stopping the attack. The shockwave from Obelisk's sends both Ash and Yami to the ground. The swords spell then fades away with the Ultimate Fighting God glaring down at them.
"Did you think that pitiful spell could stop me?" Obelisk asks.
By reflex, Yami draws another card from his deck and in strongest voice he calls forth the ...
"WINGED DRAGON, GUARDIAN OF THE FORTRESS!"
A blue dragon appears before Yami and then takes flight. Within two wingbeats, the dragon is eyelevel to Obelsik. The dragon then opens its mouth and fires its breath weapon, a ball of fire. The fireball hits with an awesome force. Yami readies another card as the blast clears. Obelsik still stands. Unfased by the the Winged Guardian's attack. The god then punches the dragon devastating it. The punch continues downward toward Yami. Before the punch could reach Yami, the fist is hit with a volley of laserfire from the sky. Obelisk then looks to the sky where he sees a squadron of red robot dragons, Kaiba Corp's Y-Dragon Head. Seto Kaiba's voice is then heard from the lead Y-Dragon Head.
"Obelisk! You call yourself the Ultimate Fighting God, but I see you beating on weaklings. I thought you only fight strong opponents? There are no strong opponents here, but there will be in my tournament. It begins in four days. BE THERE!"
The Y-Dragon Heads then turn and streak out of sight. Obelisk then begins to disappear as he says ...
"I will you fool. To show everyone the full force of THE ULTIMATE FIGHTING GOD!"
"Well it looks like we've learned how to truly play Duel Monsters Yugi." Yami says.
"Yea, but how did you know what to do? I mean with our deck?" Yugi asks.
"You didn't the voice?" Yami asks
"What voice? We better not worry about that now. We gotta help that guy." Yugi says as he takes control of his body.
Yugi walks to Ash who is kneeled over Misty.
"A ... Ash ... you're o ... o-kay." Misty begins.
"Yea, I told you I'd get'im for ya. You know the broke our rule of not fighting before Battle City." Ash says as then wraps Misty in his arms.
"Bl ... Blue boy ... got in ... my ... my ... face." Misty says as she coughs up a little blood.
"Take it easy o-kay." Ash says.
"Looks like ... you'll be going without ... me this time." Misty coughs.
"Oh shut up. You just got a few cuts and a real nice shiner. It makes you look sexy." Ash says.
"Liar. If ... If ... I had the strength ..."
"But you don't so ... " Ash begins as he hears sirens. "See help's here. You'll be o-kay."
Emergency team shreech to a halt and ERT ( Emergency Rescue Team ) members jump out of an ambulance and to the fallen Misty. As they place her on a strecher, Ash turns to Yugi.
"I wanna thank you kid. You brought my girlfriend and I some time. I'm Ash and this is my Pikachu." Ash says as Pikachu nods.
"I'm Yugi. Did I hear you say that you were in Battle City?"
Ash and Pikachu nod.
"Me too." Yugi says.
An ERT member motions to Ash and as he and Pikachu walk away from Yugi, he says ...
"Well then, see you in Battle City kid."
"HEY YUGI!" Joey's voice rings out.

"Joey! You're o-kay. What happen with the Black Scorpions?" Yugi asks.

Meanwhile, in the lair of the Gravekeepers, Isis sits. The air quietly implodes slightly as a man clad head to toe in black with a blood scarf around appears before her. An axe is then put to his head by Odeion.
"Who dares to interrupt Lady Isis' hour of reflection?"
"I have news." The black clad man says.
"Then speak Strike Ninja." Isis says.
Strike Ninja then tells Isis of then events in Domino City.
"I already know this. Now tell the Dark Ruler."
"Yes Lady Isis." Strike Ninja says as he disappears.
"Lady Isis, is it wise to leak this information to Ha-Des? We both know that he and the Archfiend King will mass an invasion." Odeion says.
"That's what I'm hoping for Odeion. An invasion ... that will begin in Battle City."

Yami then rounds the corner and comes face to face with the Ultimate Fighting God. Yugi and even Yami is taken aback by the sight of Obelisk. Ash looks back at the younger looking Yami and says ...
"Hey kid! Gitouttahere!"
Ash then looks towards the building Pikachu was thrown into. He then sees a flash of light and orders Yami to cover his ears. Ash then with sharp, loud and clear voice, orders ...
"PIKACHU! SONIC BOOM!!"
Pikachu then streaks out of the building at superspeed and through Obelsik's legs. After a second a sonic boom is made having every window in on the block shatter. The attack, however impressive, does nothing to Obelsik.
"This now bores me boy." Obelsik begins as he clinches his fists. "NOW DIE BY THE HAND OF GOD!"
Obelsik then throws a punch so powerful that heavens seem to scream as it comes down toward both Ash and Yami. Suddenly, Isis' voice is heard in Yami's mind.
"Draw your deck my Pharoah."
Yami does it without question.
"Draw the first card."
Again, Yami follows Isis' voice to see the first card ... Swords of Revealing Light.
"Now, my Pharoah ... SUMMON THE MAGIC!"
"SWORDS OF REVEALING LIGHT!!!" Yami yells.
Yami's puzzle begins to glow and swords of energy fall from the sky coming between them and Obelsik. The punch hits the energy swords stopping the attack. The shockwave from Obelisk's sends both Ash and Yami to the ground. The swords spell then fades away with the Ultimate Fighting God glaring down at them.
"Did you think that pitiful spell could stop me?" Obelisk asks.
By reflex, Yami draws another card from his deck and in strongest voice he calls forth the ...
"WINGED DRAGON, GUARDIAN OF THE FORTRESS!"
A blue dragon appears before Yami and then takes flight. Within two wingbeats, the dragon is eyelevel to Obelsik. The dragon then opens its mouth and fires its breath weapon, a ball of fire. The fireball hits with an awesome force. Yami readies another card as the blast clears. Obelsik still stands. Unfased by the the Winged Guardian's attack. The god then punches the dragon devastating it. The punch continues downward toward Yami. Before the punch could reach Yami, the fist is hit with a volley of laserfire from the sky. Obelisk then looks to the sky where he sees a squadron of red robot dragons, Kaiba Corp's Y-Dragon Head. Seto Kaiba's voice is then heard from the lead Y-Dragon Head.
"Obelisk! You call yourself the Ultimate Fighting God, but I see you beating on weaklings. I thought you only fight strong opponents? There are no strong opponents here, but there will be in my tournament. It begins in four days. BE THERE!"
The Y-Dragon Heads then turn and streak out of sight. Obelisk then begins to disappear as he says ...
"I will you fool. To show everyone the full force of THE ULTIMATE FIGHTING GOD!"
"Well it looks like we've learned how to truly play Duel Monsters Yugi." Yami says.
"Yea, but how did you know what to do? I mean with our deck?" Yugi asks.
"You didn't the voice?" Yami asks
"What voice? We better not worry about that now. We gotta help that guy." Yugi says as he takes control of his body.
Yugi walks to Ash who is kneeled over Misty.
"A ... Ash ... you're o ... o-kay." Misty begins.
"Yea, I told you I'd get'im for ya. You know the broke our rule of not fighting before Battle City." Ash says as then wraps Misty in his arms.
"Bl ... Blue boy ... got in ... my ... my ... face." Misty says as she coughs up a little blood.
"Take it easy o-kay." Ash says.
"Looks like ... you'll be going without ... me this time." Misty coughs.
"Oh shut up. You just got a few cuts and a real nice shiner. It makes you look sexy." Ash says.
"Liar. If ... If ... I had the strength ..."
"But you don't so ... " Ash begins as he hears sirens. "See help's here. You'll be o-kay."
Emergency team shreech to a halt and ERT ( Emergency Rescue Team ) members jump out of an ambulance and to the fallen Misty. As they place her on a strecher, Ash turns to Yugi.
"I wanna thank you kid. You brought my girlfriend and I some time. I'm Ash and this is my Pikachu." Ash says as Pikachu nods.
"I'm Yugi. Did I hear you say that you were in Battle City?"
Ash and Pikachu nod.
"Me too." Yugi says.
An ERT member motions to Ash and as he and Pikachu walk away from Yugi, he says ...
"Well then, see you in Battle City kid."
"HEY YUGI!" Joey's voice rings out.
Yugi turns to a batter and brused Joey and Tristan along with Anzu and smiles.
"Joey! You're o-kay. What happen with the Black Scorpions?" Yugi asks.
"Those chumps?" Asks Tristan smiling. "No big deal."
Meanwhile, in the lair of the Gravekeepers, Isis sits. The air quietly implodes slightly as a man clad head to toe in black with a blood scarf around appears before her. An axe is then put to his head by Odeion.
"Who dares to interrupt Lady Isis' hour of reflection?"
"I have news." The black clad man says.
"Then speak Strike Ninja." Isis says.
Strike Ninja then tells Isis of then events in Domino City.
"I already know this. Now tell the Dark Ruler."
"Yes Lady Isis." Strike Ninja says as he disappears.
"Lady Isis, is it wise to leak this information to Ha-Des? We both know that he and the Archfiend King will mass an invasion." Odeion says.
"That's what I'm hoping for Odeion. An invasion ... that will begin in Battle City."
