dwarven driller ability

this is his ability:

tap: destroy target land unless its controller has dwarven driller deal 2 damage to him or her

my opponent used it aggainst me do i have the choice to deal 2 damage to me or do i have to have a dworven driller to do that option?

please help me

these choice abilities are written really crappy...

read it as if it were written like this...

"Tap: Destroy target land: That lands controller may choose to have dwarven drillers deal 2 damage to him or her to counter this affect"
