A Few Questions

I have a few questions about the gameplay.

First off, is it anything like the gameboy games? Can you collect Pokemon or is the gameplay linear?

Also, is the game worth getting, or should I wait until the price drops. I'm a poor college boy and I am looking to get a game sometime in the next couple of weeks.

I've only had the game a few hours but can tell you a couple things that may be helpful.

XD is very very similar to Colosseum in gameplay so far. Even some of the music and at least one of the towns are pretty much the same, so if you are familiar with Colosseum that'll tell you a lot. It is not like the GBA games with lots of wild pokemon/gym badges etc but is has a storyline and you can 'snag' certain pokemon called shadow pokemon as you accomplish side quests and move along the plot.

I think it will be worth it for me since I traded in like about $20 of old GC games I won't be playing anymore to basically cut the XD price in half. If I remember right, it took me about 50 hours of gametime to beat Colloseum, so if I can get at least that much out of the first XD playing, meh, it'll be worth it. Don't know about replay value or much else since like I said I just got it.

Yes. If you ahve the GBA games, it'll really help your Pokedex if your trying for that. If not, it's a fun game, so get it.
