I have Necrovalley(boosts 500 def) on the field, a face down Gravekeepers Spy(reg def 2000). Opponents Jinzo(2400) attacks, what happens?

a) Spy has 2000 def and is destroyed
b) Spy has 2500 def, opponent takes 100 damage

continuous effects are applied the instant possible. the moment spy is flipped its atk/def get raised by 500.
