heh, I never come here but i've been meaning to ask....When the evolved form of a pokemon has a baby, will the baby be evolved or will it start at the most basic form? I'm confused cause in my sister's sapphire game, an evolved pokemon will yield a baby that is one level before it, not necessarily the first stage though. And in the Return of Mewtwo I think, there was a Nidoqueen who had nidoqueen babies. Wouldn't they be nidorans? Forgive me because I don't know anything about Pokemon, but I was hoping some of the experts would know just to clear this up for me....

When a Pokemon has an egg, the resulting Pokemon will be the lowest form of that Pokemon. (ie. Azumarril gives birth to an Azurill, or Rapidash gives birth to a Ponyta). Hope that helps.

Actually in Ruby and Sapphire breeding two Azumarril makes a Marril and breeding two Marril makes an Azurill. Marril and Azurill both have EG moves. I think they are the only exception. In Mewtwo Returns i dont get the baby Nidoqueens either but they are two darn cute to care.
