what is missingo?

can some one show me a picture of missingo.I have haerd of him and what does he do to the game?is he powerful?whats his type?what attacks does he have?how do you get him?

Missingno is a glitch that appears after you talk to the man who shows you how to catch Pokemon in Viridian City, say no to his tutorial, go to Cinnabar Island and surf on the right shoreline(Red/Blue only). Its graphic is just a bunch of glitched stuff.. If you see him, your Hall of Fame(if you have beaten the E4) will be glitched up. He's not very powerful and comes armed with Sky Attack, Water Gun, and Water Gun. His type I believe is Bird/Water.. Catching it *may* cause bad stuff to happen to your cartridge.

EDIT: Also, by encountering it, the 6th Item in your inventory is duplicated to like .. 129 or something..

Umm... no. It doesn't. I caught it, and all I had was a glitched Hall of Fame. Nothing more than that.

A (very) few people have had their game deleted or frozen.

Missingno looks like a bunch of pixels clustered together.

We've had this arguement over what missingno does to what game, and really, it depends on, probably lots of conditons. Some games, it freezes, some it does nothing. Really, you can't argue against something not happening in a certain cartridge, because some have corrupted data, or have been dropped, or you have a different starter.

basically, you shouldn't worry about losing your game, unless you actually battle strictly against your friends and don't want to lose your "all perfect 100" team. If that is the case, trade them to another cart or your old stadium 1.

besides, earthquake TM x100-something is always nice.

Missingno is a glitchy-like Pokemon appearing only when surfing on the edges of Cinnibar Island or Seafoam Island. Some say if it's caught, you're game is screwed. I have caught it before, nothing totally bad happened. All it did was turn into a human-like figure in your lineup and then a Kangaskan. Game reamined fine, I released it however because I didn't really need it.

You can also find Pokemon over LV100 while surfing on either islands. I found a Snorlax and an Electrode, can't remember the level.

Anyways, Missingno is used to make infinite copies of specific items, it's very fun to do. Red/Blue have the most glitches out of any game, just have fun with it.
