Base Set Ghastly + Focus Band

If I where to use destiny bond and the defending Pokemon where to attack and KO Ghastly and I flip heads on Focus Band would the defending Pokemon still be KOed? I think yes because if you your active Pokemon where to be KOed you bring out you new defending Pokemon then you do your Poke Tool in-between turns. I am not to sure so what is why I am asking. Thanks for your help.

They wouldn't draw a Prize because Gastly was not KO'ed.

it says "if Gastly is knocked out" or something like that. Gastly wasn't knocked out. I thought of that combo too, but it won't work
