The way I see it, Naruto has the potential to become a very popular game. Publicity through Shonen Jump is definitely an influencial factor, and the game is relatively simple to understand. There aren't many "broken" cards, and everything is pretty much balanced.

And a lot is said about the brain size of the people who think the rules of this game are complex. They're really easy to pick up if you try :P

Drayon- go to narutotcg.com to download the pdf rulebook, and you can see for yourself what it will be like, it looks like a good game to me.
Jedi Mind Trick- that same site has spoilers for the first two sets, they're just text though, no pictures.

Drayon- It's a bit like Magic and it also has little touches of VS and Yu-Gi-Oh in it. But the game has an entirely original playing system, and an awesome first set and nice 4 starter decks.

Well I am loving the game, my store got in two real starter decks, one sasuke and one naruto. I played with another person for about 2 hours and the starter decks alone are enough to get you hooked. Its still too long of a wait to get the booster packs and starters of my own. I want more!

yes i have also tryed the game in american and i really dient think it were that great or better than the japanese one,so i will stick with the japanese version and start the american one if it becomes huge in my area

Alright, I'll try to make some things clear. The game has not been released yet. the release date is April 28th, in other words, this Friday. There will be launch events in hobby stores across the country, where you could win T-Shirts, booster packs and othe assorted prizes. Participants pay 20$ to enter, and receive a Starter Deck and a booster pack: Pathway to Hokage.

4 Starter Decks are due at launch. They are as follows:
Naruto (Sideboard 1)
Naruto (Sideboard 2)
Sasuke (Sideboard 1)
Sasuke (Sideboard 2)

As you can see, they are the same decks, with different Sideboards. The Sideboards are 10 cards which are used to switch out cards between matches, to alternate play styles. Some cards will only be released in the Starter Decks, as Sideboard cards. They include, but are not limited to: Neji Hyuga, Haku, Crystal Ball Jutsu, Shared-Instinct Assasination Technique, etc...

how was this game's popularity in japan

i live in japan 5 months a year an i would sey its doing okey over ther, its not huge but its doing okey. and its release 15 sets,and the anime and manga is much,much more popular than the ccg ,the ccg is mostly played by the ones that are really into the anime and i mean really.

and i have noticed somthing vierd with bandai`s products

in california and the places around ther bandais games is actually popular, like zatch bell, gundam war and one piece thats games thats almost are non existing in new york etc

The release is not a draft. It's a sealed deck tournament. You get 1 starter deck and 1 booster from which you build a 40 card deck to play.
