I am currently on a crusade to finish all my games, get my ranking up, that sort of thing with video games all while maintaining a relationship with a girl. So during this, i knew i had to get all the pokemon in R/S without cheating in anyway.
I did it, eon ticket for latias, trading with my friend for the others and lots of leveling up.
How many of you actually got them all without a cheating device....

I bought both carts and the link cables so that's how I got them all. (I don't shark). It was a real dissappointment though finding out that there really is no decent reward for actually doing it. I mean getting a lame certificate that you can't even use to decorate your base? Gimme a break. THey should at elast reward you with something really good, dontcha think?

My friend and I rented an extra game and played it like twenty hours a day (I had to be nocturnal, as I have the SP with the light), getting TMs, etc. and each got the remaining pokemon for the 'dex, as well as 5 of each worthwhile TM each. That was the most stressful week of my life, but I'm glad I endured it.
In this game, you actually get something for your effort: a star. May not seem like much, but for me it was worth every one of the one hundred hours it took.

I don't have every one yet, but I have every catchable Pokémon caught and I traded over the Ruby only Pokémon, so all I have to do is evolve everyone...
All without cheating.

When one of my friends propopsed he was doing this, me and other friend set out to beat him to the punch. Granted, working two against one is unfair but... eh. When I started my sapphire version, I took Mudkip and was fortunate enough to get a female. We wanted females of all starters for breeding, and it took us forever to get a female Treecko.
We traded what we had to make out Pokedexs even, then divided what was left. He got us the Vigoroth and Slaking and I was getting Loudred and Exploud. That sort of thing. We also set out to nab the legends in your normal, every day poke balls. Latias and Rayquaza were easy for me. I false swiped Latias to 1 and sent in my Sableye to trap it. Rayquaza was nutty. I went in, ice beamed him with my Swampert. Took it into the red and froze. Through a ball and caught him.
It took us about two days to complete both our Pokedexs and run around getting everything else. There's 400+ trades on my trainer card now. Everything but BT, because I'm cursed and stuck at 21. :(

My friend and I went to summer camp in Canada (A ten hour drive). Then we went on a wild goose chase for another 4 hours in Canada, then back. Needless to say, I have about 20 of each starter with only one of them being a female.
Im now working on actually having EVERY pokemon in my pc.
