Hey guys, I recently traded for the elusive Nightcrawler, and I was wondering what a tourney winning team for him would look like. I have tons of figs, so feel free to suggest anything rare/LE. We usually play 300 points at my venue, so any ideas for a 300 pt. team would be greatly appreciated.(feel free to include a few hookers, but no more than two)

thanks,
Wally

Well this is one I have won a few tornements with so if you want try it out.

U Nightcrawler 83pts (HSS.SS,X-team)
V Gambit 51ps (stealth,EE,perplex,RCE,X-team)
V Doc Octopus 66pts (LC,willpower,perplex)
E Paramedic 10pts (support)
E Con Artist 12pts (perplex)
R Jean Gray 31ps (TK,X-team)
R Black Panther 27pts (sealth,outwit,Avengers team)
R Destiny 20pts (PC,SS,Brotherhood team)

300 points total

I will let you figure out how it works. If anything it will put you in the right direction with makeing your own NC team for yourself.

Shadow's team offers alot of perplex, but my team is more beatdown based with no perplex.

Exp. Firelord - 81 pts.
Uniq. Nightcrawler - 83 pts.
Rookie Jean Grey - 31 pts.
LE Jane Foster - 16 pts.
Exp. Black Panther - 36 pts.
Vet. Storm - 52 pts.
----------------------
Total = 299 pts.

We have a house rule at my venue - only one character on a team of a specific name.
This keeps players from making BOMB teams that include 4+ Con Artists or teams that run 2+ Firelords.

Nightcrawler is one of the best figures in HeroClix. If you dont have any rules against multi characters, then I suggest running him with at least 2 Con Artists. They are cheap perplex and can be fitted into any team.

I know using a Con Artist requires you to push - but there is a way around that! Find a cheap figure with Pulsewave on their starting dial. Move your fighters out of the way and then throw down a pulse wave to click all your con artists 1 clicks - putting them into perplex without wasting a bunch of actions.

Thanks Shadowstalker, I have all of those figs, so I,ll definetly be playing that team this weekend. And to monger, we often times have scenarios like the one you mentioned, so I'll definetley remember that team too. Also, a guy at my venue LOVES to use his sentinels, SO I'M FIGHT'N CHEESE WITH CHEESE NOW! :D
Thanks again,
Wally
