its nice, but the stock doesn't blend well. A good idea, but it doesn't look the best. It doesn't look bad though lol. The stock, as you said, isn't that good. You could try to clear it up by duplicating the layer, setting it to gaussin blur at about 1.9 and set the layer to soft light, I use that when the stocks aren't of best quality.

I know what you mean lol. The last pokemon sig I tried, I could berely find any good stocks. Most of the ones out there were just screen shots in bad quality.

Gardevoir would probably look better accompanied with a green background. Fire just doens't work for it, in my opinion; it just seems like it clashes.

I know it's a Psychic, but it looks more grassy. I dunno. The fire just doesn't work well for me.

... i like the fire, i think it blends well with it. Maybe try to make the stock a little bigger so it'd cover more of the sig. I don't do pokemon, so i can't help you out with the stock ^_~
