It was one of the greatest toons of the 80's not only for its animation, action-packed storylines and awesome characters, but also for being one of the few, if not the only, cartoons that could make bad voice acting look cool. "Thunder. Thunder. Thunder. Thundercats. HO!"

Any TC fans out there? If so, who was your favorite character(s)? For me, it had to be a tie between Tigra and Panthro. I love tigers, and Tigra had it all, illusion casting, that awesome invisibility whip, architecture skills, and the loner persona. Panthro was the strongman who changed the perception of strongmen. Whereas guys like Hunk from Voltron and Tiny from Battle of the Planets/G-Force/Gatchaman were loveable but dimwitted, Panthro was the guy building everything the Cats needed just in the nick of time.

I'm a huge Thudnercats fan. See, this is me drunk, pimped out in the Thundercat jersey:

http://punichu.homestead.com/files/IAmDrunk.bmp

Rumors are that a mini-figure company is trying to get the license for it, but nothing is confirmed.

The comics are pretty sad though, I would have really focused on Lion-O being a child in a man's body. Since it's comics, they could have been a little deeper. I mean, how messed up is that? Losing your childhood/teens and become mid-twenties? What about the effect on the other Thundercats? Cheetara finding him attractive, but still recalling he's basically a LITTLE BOY? What if the younger female(I get Kat/Kit mixed up.) 'liked' him when he was younger, and still likes him as he's older? How do the others accept leadership from someone who is younger then them?

Anyway, I really wish the show would come out on DVD. It would be the only 80s toon I'd actually pay full price for. I loved all the characters as a kid, had pretty much all the toys, and even had the cheaper Sword of Omens(Parents would never buy the more pricey light-up one. =( ).

Bring on the 'cats! Hooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

Erk... I wanna see Puni's pic, but I don't think it'll load in my lifetime. >_<

I've never seen a full episode of Thundercats that I can remember but my dad said I was a huge fan of the show when I was little.
He said I would sit right in front of the TV when it was on and squeal "Go, Thundercats, Go!".
I dunno if it still comes on anymore but I'm gonna check because I want to see if it could ever make me squeal "Go, Thundercats, Go!" again.

Favorite-character, now... the only definite thing I recall about TC is there was this one cat-woman thing that had like, tiger-stripes.
So I'll say her. :)

They only had two main female Thundercats.

Cheetara and then the sexilicious Pumyra. You can figure out what cats they took after. =)

I didn't watch this show that much, but I agree with puni, cheetara was a hottie. Never saw pumyra though... Anybody have a picture of her?

I watched the show when I was little, I lost interest before the series ended though. My favorite characters wer Panthro (I thought he was a black dude) and Cheetara (my favorite big cat). Who didn't like Snarf though? Was Pumyra one of those kids (i just remembered them)?

Never thought Cheetara was hot, too manly I guess.

This is Pumyra, one of the three 'new' Thundercats:

'and this is how she looks in the Thundercats: Dogs of War comic series, which(Like all the comic series.) is set after the 'toon:

I was a "Thundercats" nut too. Wilykit (the little girl) was my favourite character, probably because I was around the same age as her when the series first aired.

Since it has been so long, does anybody have an episode guide or something? I only remember a few episodes, and it's driving me nuts here.

"Thundercats" episode guide? No problem! Just click here (http://www.geocities.com/TelevisionCity/Set/3331/episode.html)

Actually, I was wondering what some of your favourite "Thundercats" sites are. Mine are cheezey.com and hyenastormcub.com. The former's good if you like a good laugh and don't take things too seriously, but there are certain areas that aren't really for younger eyes - these are clearly marked on the site. Hyenastormcub.com has a bunch of stuff related to "Thundercats" and other things - they've even got a virtual orphanage where you can adopt a young Thunderian, Mutant, Lunatac etc to live on your site.

I wouldn't consiter this an Anime I dont think it was made in Japan first, but if it was feel free to move it (but of course you guys really didn't need my permission)

I searched the whole board for this and got 100 YGO sites, then I searched just the Random Topic center and got nothing, then I searched the Anime and got nothing, so let it be written that I did look before posting.

But with that out of the way... Does any one remember this old cartoon from the 80s, it was on TV when I was a kid and I loved it, did anyone else, who was your guys favorite character, I always like Snarf, but Panthro was cool, cause he though about things and stuff like that, I loved this show, any one else???

I used to watch it back when i lived in Peru. How did it end? I don't remember quite well, i remember they added new thundercats and a second fortress. And then the Lunatacs, came and went. I dunno if there was someone stronger than Munrack (the main bad guy).

There was a Thundercats (notice, no space) thread in the Archives.

But that's OK I merged them together.

I loved this when it first came on. Panthro was my favorite, because he was (at least seemed to be) black. Most "black" characters were my favorites, and there didn't seem to be many to choose from back then. But yeah, I thought it was pretty cool back in the day.

The first half of season one gets released next week, I can't wait to drop my $49.99. =)

Supposedly WB is producing a new series, but it was only mentioned in a trade magazine without any source to back it up.

I loved thundercats. but I was so little back then. maybe kindergarten to first grade, so I don't really remember anything. only the sword, "HOOOOOO!", and the cat signal thingy.

I don't know if I can sit through an episode now.

Te-he, I spent 10 minutes searching and didn't even think to put the words together...

But, half of a season for $50 that seems a like a bit much, by sisters Fiance bought all the episodes for something like 50, so I'll ask him where he got that deal from (probably Ebay).

But, yeah, now that I think about it Panthro did seem like he was a "black" character. Maybe thats why I liked him so much as a kid... who knows.

But Pinichu, when did you hear that about WB makeing a new series about it, sounds interesting..

ThunderCats was so awesome. I happen to have Exodus (1st episode) on tape with eps. 2-5, I think. It goes till the 'Cats free Wildmen from The Mutants slave trade. Awesome show.

Favorite Character? I'd say Lion-O or Panthro. Lion-O was so cool and yet was easy to connect with now and then. Panthro was just cool, flat out. Ask your self, which would be more fun to ride, The Thunder Tank or The Batmobile? Batmobile is the Movie/90's toon version.
