Bad news. YYH is starting over from "Surprised To Be Dead" on April 7th, and there will not be new episodes. Also the series will be on hiatus and won't be on Toonami when Toonami shifts to Saturdays on April 17th. Things aren't looking too good.

Sounds like CN will continue to bone us over and over again. What a world :mad:

Just for me, that may be a good thing. Because of school, I don't get to watch it. If it was on saturdays, I could. And if starting over again, I could watch most of the series(I tried to watch it starting in about novemberish, but it got moved. I just read it in shonen jump now) So for me, it'd be a great benefit. But sorry for the rest of you. Really.

edit: and digigirl, YYH will be starting over on april 7th, but it will only be on until the 17th. Then Toonami moves to Saturdays and YYH will be gone, for now.

Awwww that sucks.... I'm SOOO tired of watching the old beginning YYH episodes!! :mad: Theyve showed them, how many times? 5?! WE'VE SEEN THEM ALREADY :eek: now keep it going! ahh even though those episodes would've been poorly edited and crap, I'm just dissapointed I wont have another great new episode to look forward to everyday, since i missed these DT eps when they first aired...Think I'm just goning to end up buying the unedited videos of the last few fights. the Kuwabara/elder togure one looks very gruesome and violent, and i shudder to think what cn would've done to it if they aired the edited...

i checked out the info and its true it won't be on the toonami block on the 17th but it might be on the weekday block because Teen Titans is remaining on saturdays. i didn't see anything about yu yu hakusho restarting but your probably right we'll see when it happens.

I am also a member of Tvtome. But look at the bright side. If they show it in the summer then we would miss it since we have things to do. Maybe they will show it in September.:)

According to CN's website, today will be the last episode of YYH aired, and next week it will be replaced by another episode of DBZ. It's contradictory to what TVTome announced, but other sources indicate truth to this as well.

Either way YYH won't be included in the weekday block, so enjoy todays episode people. It may be the last one you see in a while.

edit: a little more bad news, seems the YYH PS2 games release date has been bumped to mid august. Not a huge surprise to me, and the release date on the game is not exactly final, so we'll have to wait and see what happens in the next couple of months.

Actually today was the last ep of yuyu hakusho because next week is all dragonball no other show will be shown on toonami except DB/Z/GT. also i believe that yu yu may be on the weekday block or the other idea i have is that the new eps will preimiere in late may.

Toonami's schedule is so confusing right now... it seems like the best of db/z will be shown soon and while I'm delighted, those 2 have been over-done to death. :(
I wish they could show the best of db/dbz AND yu yu hakusho eps... and I wish yu yu was coming to the Saturday night lineup as well.

Hey i liked koto :cool: juri wasnt as cool i thought, but not bad either way. Toonami works in strange ways.... first they deprive us of dbz AND yyh for a very long time, then they bring it back unexpctedly only to mess it up again as they're doing now. That cape of no return ep was kinda strange wasnt it? but it was pretty decent how shizuru started beating up kuwabara, proves shes stronger than she looks. I wanna see the rest of the genkai/shishi fight real bad, Why did they have to take it away?? :confused:

from the kinda vibe i'm getting from CN i think that DBZ and DB are in its finally go arounds in the next 2 months i think they might pull those shows off for awhile thats why i think yu yu was pulled so that once they take DB/z off they can finally show the new yu yu eps.

Anyway, I found out not long ago that the new eps of YYH are anticipated to air on Toonami sometime in June.
If that shall indeed happen, then we'll have another stupid wait to go through, but at least it'll be back.
I dunno if I'm gonna wait that long to see the new eps, though... besides the fact that they'll be edited, waits suck. >_<

But I suppose they could find some way to screw it up. considering what they did with chu I guess that they could edit out seaman cutting his finger and bleeding so his monsters just appear or not show how sensui got so nuts blah blah blah Americanization editing Sucks!!!!!
Just borrow the uncut dvd's from a friend or buy them yourself.

they have to cut out certain things now i mean the way FCC is cracking down now you'd be lucky to even see the show on tv. if your gonna blame someone for stupid edits and americanization blame the FCC.

Seeing all the violence and profanity unedited would be nice, but the shows still fine without it. All the little changes they've made that seem to be pis.sing everybody off are trivial at best, and don't really take much away from the show (Seeing Yusuke flip toguro off would've been funny, but how can something so insignificant being cut pis.s anyone off).

The edits are necessary since kids are the target audience, and the dubs have been handled really well on this show, so I don't think many of the complaints I've heard about both are really justified.

Just buy the DVD's if those few missing words or blood spurts annoy you that badly.

don't be so sure about the June 5th date thats the 3rd time CN has postponed the start of new yu yu eps i just don't trust them anymore. they are almost as bad as X-box and Ninja Gaiden on exact dates.

CN hasn't really postponed the release of the new episodes, because CN has never given us a date they would air in the first place. Up until this point we've all been assuming when they'd be aired, but this date is a tiny bit more official.

It's not completely official yet so I wouldn't get my hopes up too high, but it's the closest we've gotten thus far. :)

i fugred out why the new eps of yu yu hakusho are not being shown because of adult swim returning back to saturdays so they have to squeeze more in to the given timeslot.
