You don't need a certain trnedy phrase you just need to set one then find Feebas on the route above Dewport (or whatever that island is called). He can be found on a certain panel or two only. It takes a while.

Ya. Ok, everytime the Trendy Phase changes in Dewford City Hall thing. Feebas Randomly changes from 6 different Single Tiles on the entire Route of Route 119. 6 Single Tiles, any tile on Water. 6 of them will Have Feebas. When you Fish on that Tile If it is the Right one you wil eventually run into Feebas. Very Painful prosedure. Takes a lot of Patience. Help Thread Expands on this Topic more. It has a good description. You should check it. :)

You use the super rod. My way of catching feebas was, I used the super rod 5 times on every panel until I found feebas. It either can take a long time or a very short time.Beware carvanha are also in feebas spots so thats why I recommend 5 times.

USE THE OLD ROD!
The Super Rod always goes like "Oh there's a bite" and "It got away..." But the Old Rod NEVER does that. It only take ONE "Oh there's a bite" then there's "A Pokemon is on the hook!" It's SO much easier. Ditch the Super Rod this is what the Old Rod is for.

Use the Good or Super Rod. It says in the Help Thread, I beleive, that Old Rod can't catch Feebases. Cuz you'll never run into one with the Old Rod.

I caught mine with the OLD ROD. That's just a rumor. LOOK ON SEREBII, they suggest you use the old rod.

actually...there is less chance of finding feebas with a old rod...i used super rod and recommend doing 2 times instead of 5 per square...brcause with the super rod....feebas is very common

Oh, that makes sense. That's like with a lot of Pokemon. Like Tentacool and Magikarp are really Common with the Old Rod. Then the better the Rod, the less Common they get and the more common other people get. Sharpedo and stuff.
This is a little off topic but I have to point out one thing. Somewhere on a cetain Pokemon Website it said Pokemon Between 35 and 40 can be caught with the Super Rod. That is totally wrong. I've seen Pokemon between 35-40 when using the Super Rod but iv'e also seen a Level 42 and 22 with the Super Rod. This is off Topic but I wanted to say that.

But Super Rod takes longer to fish. You could've fished more times with the Old Rod while you're still trying to get one fish with the Super Rod. It requires full concentration and the fish can get away. With the Old Rod, the fish won't struggle and it only require you to press A once.

as for the easiness of it all...not true...the super rod(when hooked to a feebas) comes extremely easy...I caught 4 feebas in a min. before the saying changed and feebas moved..so technically...no...use the super rod

The thing is its harder to HOOK onto a Feebas. You need to press A like 4 times for the Super Rod to hook onto anything while you need to press A ONCE for the Old Rod to hook onto something. So YEAH the Old Rod would work better. Maybe the Pojo help thread says that Super Rod works better, but Pojo is not a Pokemon-only site. Most Pokemon-only sites says that the Old Rod is the way to go. I didn't believe them until I actually tried it and it saves a lot of hassle because the fishes don't usually get away.

The Help Thread suggests using the good rod or super rod only because those are the two rods that I actually used to catch Feebas and so I knew they worked. It's kind of funny that it has said that for like two years and nobody uintil now has said anything different. No matter, nothing is perfect, especially anything I do. Since several posters have said that the old rod is also good to use---preferable even---I'll go update the Help Thread with that info right now.

actually not to argue...but it is NOT harder for me...it takes 1-2 times to press A...it just depends on your reaction time with the Rod...and it does appear easier with Super...it is a proven fact...maybe easier to hook with Old...but definitly easier to spot with a Super...just my info...nothing else..preferably i don't care what anyone else uses...i just give info...I caught it easy enough and that's enough for me...
I am done on the subject
