Ok, ya I'm Thinking about starting Competitive and I would like some Help. Heres my Team So far.

ANYTHING BOLDED MEANS THAT IT HAS BEEN CHANGED SINCE THE FIRST TIME I POSTED THE TEAM

Alakazam @ Lum Berry
Male/Modest/Syncronize
EV's, [Sp.Atk-252/Spd-240/12-HP]
- Psychic
- Calm Mind
- Fire Punch
- Thunder Punch

Can outrun Base 130ers for Speed, Maxed out Special Attack. The Rest to HP. Psychic for a Strong STABed move. Calm Mind to increase Sp.Atk and Sp.Def. Fire Punch for Bug. Steel, which Psychic is Not-Very-Effective against. Thunder Punch for Water. Cuz it's really common.

Marowak @ Thick Club
Make/Adamant/Rock Head
EV's, [252-Atk/252-Spd/6-HP]
- Double-Edge
- Earthquake
- Swords Dance
- Rock Slide

Maxed Attack and Speed. Double-Edge with no Recoil. Earthquake is STABed and Strong. Swords Dance increases Attack even more. Rock Slide takes out Ice.

Milotic @ Lum Berry
Male/Modest/Marvel Scale
EV's, [240-Sp.Atk/236-Spd/7-HP]
- Surf
- Ice Beam
- Mirror Coat
- Hypnosis

Fast enough to outrun about a Base 95 for Speed. Enough HP to survive just 4 Seismic Tosses. The Rest just Maxes Special Attack.

Weezing @ Leftovers
Male/Adamant/Levitate
EV's, [252-Atk/252-Spd/6-HP]
- Pain Split
- Will-O-Wisp
- Haze
- Sludge Bomb (He has been changed since I first Posted this)

Sludge Bomb for A STABed move and My Maxed Attack. Haze, Because. Will-O-Wisp for Burns and Reducing Attack.

Gengar @ Leftovers
Male/Modest/Levitate
EV's, [252-Sp.Atk/216-Spd/39-Sp.Def]
- ThunderBolt
[B]- Ice Punch
- Toxic
- Hidden Power [Grass] (He was Swapped with someone else)

Bolt Beam, with Maxed, High Special Attack. Toxic for bad Poisoning.

Hitmonlee @ Salac Berry
Male/Adamant/Limber
EV's, [252-Atk/240-Spd/12-Def]
- Endure
- Reversal
- Bulk Up
- Body Slam/High Jump Kick

Faster than Base 100's for Speed, I think, Maxed Attack. The Rest for Defence. End/Salac/Rev Combo with good Attack and a STABed Reversal. Bulk Up to Increase Attack and Defence. Body Slam for Strenght and Possible Paralysis.

Well, thats what I'm thinking of making my Team into. I like some areas, and not others. Please Help my Team and give me some suggestions. Help would be appreciated. Thank You.

There is no Item clause, so Leftovers on Weezing. NEVER use Destiny Bond on him. Would you really want to just kill off one of the best Physical Walls in the game?

Weezing @ Leftovers
- WoW
- Sludge Bomb
- Fire Blast
- Haze / Filler

Use Encore on Zam>Fire Punch

Return and Rest on Lax>Double-Edge and Counter.

Hi Jump Kick>Body Slam on Hitmonlee.

That's it from a glance besides the EVs which I'm too tired to mess with.

For Alakazam, I think Encore Would Suck. Cuz he can't really last long for Encore. And Fire Punch Takes out Bug, which is Super-Effective Against Alakazam and uses Attack, and since Alakazams Defence sucks, a Super-Effective Attack that takes advantage of Alakazams Defence would kill him. Hi Jump Kick I guess but it's Accuracy is only 85. If I have Have Return and Rest instead of Curse and Shadow Ball, I won't be able to hit Ghosts. But I like the Wheezing Set. I think I'll Swap Snorlax with someone else though. Thanks for your Help.

Alakazam has tier speed, so max it. If you don't have Timid nature, you could end up being slower than Gengar, Starmie, and Raikou, which could prove disastrous, and besides you want to be on par with Sceptile and Dugtrio anyway. The idea behind Encore on Zam is that you switch into something like Substitute or Swords Dance, then since you're (hopefully) faster, you Encore them, and you get a free CM while they switch out.

On Marowak, I usually prefer Focus Punch (over Double-Edge), which hits Skarmory switch-ins HARD, but then you could achieve something similar with Swords Dance on the switch followed by Rock Slide. Anyway, I'd recommend maxing its speed, since then it can dent stuff like Skarmory easily and actually stick around to kill stuff like Suicune.

Hypnosis makes Milotic officially cool, since hitting stuff like Zapdos switch-ins is awesome, I'd recommend that over Mirror Coat because it can't take too many Thunderbolts. Give it lots of HP and defense, it's got no physical weaknesses and switching it into a Blissey Thunder Wave will make it hard to take out. (Then just mess around with Hypnosis and Recover until you sleep something besides Blissey's Natural Cure.) Lefties, because status actually helps Milotic, her Marvelous special ability lets her stick around and drive stuff like Salamence nuts.

Weezing is not something you want to blow up, drop Destiny Bond and Explosion. Will-o-Wisp pairs nicely with Haze and its high defense (and lack of physical weaknesses). Rest makes it stick around longer but Pain Split can drive your opponent nuts if they don't know what they're doing. Regardless, you'll want to pack most of its EVs in defense and HP, attack isn't that important, especially when you consider that Sludge Bomb could easily be dropped for something along the lines of Thunder. Leftovers for recovery.

I always go with Earthquake over Shadow Ball these days, because hitting Tyranitar (who will otherwise smack you silly with Focus Punch while you Curse) and hurting Metagross is more important than taking out Gengar, whose popularity seems to be dwindling a bit, thanks to Ice Beam packing Blissey. You want him to live, hopefully, so running Double-Edge without Rest isn't really a great idea. Counter can work, although you should definitely consider Rest if you're planning on setting up with Curse. You definitely should concentrate on special defense, and dump some more EVs into HP, Snorlax's attack should be able to look after itself well enough.

Hitmonlee should have Substitute or Endure for getting its HP down there. (I recommend Substitute more myself, it allows you to set up against more stuff.) You pretty much need HP:ghost, and setting up with Bulk up is kinda hard unless you're doing it from behind a substitute, which can work. Just switch it into a Blissey Thunder Wave and you're set to jet.

Wow, thanks for the info Fallen Ronin. I Swapped Snorlax with Gengar. And for Alakazam, I gave him enough EV's to outrun base 130's. So doesn't that mean only Electrode and Ninjask can outrun me? Unless other Poeple Maxed even past 394.

Weezing w/ Fire Blast are you insane. Pain Split. You either make him a hazer or explode him.

I was half asleep when I made that post...

And you NEVER explode with Weezing...

Pain Split>Fire Blast is what I meant.

Uh, Zam's max speed is 372, and Adamant Aeroy is 359...but usually base 130's have max speed, meaning 394 speed.

Gengar can't learn Ice Beam...you mean Ice Punch? Toxic isn't really viable in the current metagame, given the fact that switching is pretty prominent and all it really does is grant Thunder Wave immunity, or have the same effect (attack boost on Guts) minus the speed loss. I don't really like Giga Drain that much on Gengar, I'd lean towards something like Focus Punch or Explosion. Also I'd definitely use max speed with Gengar.

I know Alakazams Max Speed 372. At a Neutral Nature it's 335. 240-EV's for Speed at a Neutral Nature would make it 395 right? Better than Base 130's. Which is 394. Who is Aeroy? And what about Maybe Heracross instead of Hitmonlee. He has a little Better Attack and he can also do the End/Salac/Rev Combo, plus he has Swarm for a Megahorn. And his Base Speed is only 2 lower than Hitmonlee's. And Plus, he's got STAB on Reversal aswell, as Well as Megahorn after a Swarm. Meh whatever. Thanks for the suggestions.

What would 216 EV's for Hitmonlee make his Speed. I'm a little Confused. The Stats on Serebii.net, are they with or without EV Training?

Alakazam- Giving him any HP or defensive EVs is pointless. He'll be destroyed anyways. It's better just to put whatever you can into Speed and Special Attack.

Marowak- Thick Club is as good as useless. There are plenty of better items to use.

Milotic- I always found that Confuse Ray, Attract, Recover, Surf worked pretty well. Whatever works for you.

The last three I don't use myself very often. I alsways thought Hitmonlee was cool but never a great pokemon to use.

Im reading the whole thread, and no one mentions anything about adding def/hp on alakazam.

If you play with marowak, you should know that thick club boost his attack really high.

Milotic- I always found that Confuse Ray, Attract, Recover, Surf worked pretty well. Whatever works for you.

Basically, you like getting own by gyarados right?

That's just being ignorant. Lee is one of the few UU pokemon that can actually play in the OU environment.

The question about 216 speed on lee will give him 264. 264x1.5=396 which will pass aero/jolt.

No one suggested giving him HP EVs it's what he has on the first post.

On the marowak that was my bad. I was tired when I was fixing this and I mistook it for something else...I don't even know what I was thinking.

The Milotic works just fine, btw. If your opponent puts out a gyarados on you, switch him out to Gengar or something. No pokemon can be flawless to the point that something can't stop it cold.

Actually, giving Marowak Thick Club is the Smartest and best thing you can ever give him. It Doubles his Attack Stat! Doubles. That Ownz Leftovers and all that stuff like a million Times. Hitmonlee's Base Stat for Attack is 120. That's 372. Which is good. Although Heracross is 384. Base Stat 125. And he can also do the End/Salac/Rev Combo and still be STABed. Also his Swarm will Power up his STABed Megahorn. But his Base Stat for Speed is 2 under Hitmonlee's. Although he has a lot more HP. So ya. The only time HP was ever mentioned for Alakazam was when I said 252-Sp.Atk/240-Spd/12-HP. Cuz I might as well use the Leftover EV's on his HP since it's only gonnamake it 3 Higher. Who nows, 3 could make all the difference.

EDIT: Oh, I thought the Stats given on Serebii.net are the Stats without being EV Trained. So Alakazams Special Attack 405, Higher Nature EV Trained. I thought that wuold be without EV Training. So EV Trained it would be 468. But I was wrong. Oh well.

WTF does this have to do with anything? Yes Lots of People have Emerald but this is way off Topic.

Shadie please stop spamming. No one appreciates it.

For that Hitmonlee's strategy I like Heracross for it better. It's better (I have one on my team). I know what Thick Club does I mistook it for something else simply because I was barely awake when I looked it over the first time.

Lol, that's my favourite Combo in the whole game. If it's nest to useless, I wouldn't use it. But okay, you were tired, whatever.
