Yes, I know, this thread screams dub bashing but you'll have to pretty much keep it to yourself.

In case you need some help deciding this (http://www.yu-jyo.net/) site will help. I think one of the funniest edits is where Honda gets hit in the groin yet they edit his hands and move them to his chest!

Oh, and another one: in the firt season, they had one or two moments when the characters were obviously punched, but in the dub they edited it to "shoving."

For me, one of dub's dumb edits was when they took out guns from Pegasus' Guards. After watching, my cousin asked me, "Do the guards have powers like Yusuke's?" :p

I'm totally with you on that, Pegasus's guards seem to have been taught the ancient power of the Sennen Spirit Gun! lolz

Another edit that wasn't so funny would be Necrophias doll...it looked so stupid there without it's dolly, poor Necrophia.

Why in the world did they edit all of the text out of the whole series though? Even stuff like street signas and computer screens that were completely in English and looked fairly good as well were editted to be made stupid....weirdness.

When Necrophia was summoned during Bakura and Malik's duel, that part where they close-upped of Necro's arms with nothing there made that scene look pointless...(I liked the bobbling-head chuckling doll XD)

Well, for the most part it signals some sort of juvenile crime, like, when Otogi hacked into the computer, and, several signs saying Danger! or Caution! or Do Not Trespass! or the like.

Plus, they didn't want any suspicion to take away from the show. Without English words, we dub-watchers would lead to think they're just buildings or crates; nothing interesting.

But, alas, it's stupid; we watch for the cards, not to pilot a damn airplane.

That's really only in card art. The only feminine art changes would be lengthening skirts, and deleting scenes of, iuno, that girl in a bunny suit.

I gotta say that any gun removing is just halarious. In stead of holding someone at gun point they point menacingly at you, they got so scared of the pointing. They knew they were in danger lol! And some of the subs are funny, they also take out certain things and edit pics. They have lengthened skirts and took away from cleavage. Thats sexist right there, censoring the human body by modification so it looks abnormal, wow. And they also took out a close up of Joey's crotch in the virtual world when he was wearing the loincloth, lol!

That was in the manga..Keith had a knife and threatend Peggs but Peggy used his eye and made it look like his hand turnd into a revolver and forced keith to "Shoot" himslef.

No one really knows if he died from that or not...

Every time they say something like "They took my brother away" (yeah, three tanks came all the way to take one orphan away from his brother) or "see you around, Noah" (**** you, Mokuba) , I can't help but laugh at the stupidity.

Not a Dub matter per se, but...

In some website I once saw a subbed scene from the duel Yugi vs. Weevil back in Duelist Kingdom, and the subtitles for what Weevil was saying read something like "Yugi, you arouse my seriousness."

I thought it was funny when Jounoucnhi punched Atem after his fight with Raphael. In the dub, he went up to him, and suddenly Atem was on the ground. I guess the Sennen Puzzle now includes the powers of teleportation..

Also,that is stupid, "They took my brother Mikee away!"......

For example, did anyone notice that in the JAPANESE version, when Vampire Lord is reviving himself, on the front of his coffin is none other than... a cross.

Wouldn't that be near-suicide for a vampire?

Not if on the outside of the box. It would be more like a seal than anything.

Uh...no...the pain by slow, gyrating (probably dulled) saw-blades would be enough to put you through enough suffering until you die. If the cutting wouldn't kill you, the bleeding to death would. Remember, Pandora brought Yuugi to a room underground, with a steel door as their only means of getting out. Had one of them had their legs chopped off by those saws, they would bleed to death before they could get out and/or get help regardless.

Being trapped in a the "Shadow Realm" is nothing, because we all know that once you get there you are meeted by Duel Monsters and lush greenery.

Let's settle this debate:
1. The door was locked and there was no treatment available, save for either duelist being able to make a turnakit out of whatever was on him, if he could muster doing so in spite of the pain.
2. Nothing, and I mean nothing, can possibly be worse than eternal damnation. And that is exactly what having your soul sent into an abyss amounts to. The discription of Hell is fire and darkness.
3. Demonic monsters eating you isn't to friendly, and being eaten by the darkness is exactly what Marik tells Mai is going to happen to her.

I'm sure if anyone gave me the choice of having my legs sawn off or eternal damination in darkness i'd havta go with the eternal damination becuase i'm sure after so much horrible pain and suffering you'd get used to it..like.. falling in a bottomless pit..or getting into a hot bath ^_^
