Here is my Dratini:
[M]Dratini
Brave- 124HP/60Atk/20Def/220Sp.Atk/84Sp.Def
Thunderwave
Thunderbolt
Ice Beam
Substitute
Stats- 69HP/49Atk/33Def/50Sp.Atk/38Sp.Def/32Spd
Now, according to the Sp.Atk EV's I trained it with it should have a total of w/e + 55 Sp.Atk. But apparently it only has 50 Sp.Atk. Whats the deal with that? Also in the beginning when I gave it 10 HP Up how come its HP only increased by 2? Does it take time?

Yes it takes time. The lower the level of your pokemon the less of a stat number increase you'll see between level-ups. If you are at a very high level it is possible to get like plus 20-something or more in just one level-up, but at low levels, especially very low levels, you'll see very little increase in the stat, if any. Don't worry, the effort *is* being applied, but you won't necessarily see it applied at the lower levels. So assuming your count is accurate, you should get the effort ribbon exactly when you expect and if your stat is not what you think it should be it will catch up as you level up a bit higher over time.
Got Time?
BTW, nice bolt-beamer set. :D Did you really want a Brave nature? I would have thought you'd want Modest. Sometimes I get a pokemon with such good IVs I just say the hell with the nature., but I don't compete so Meh.

Yeah you are doing a god job...personally I like to pwn with Dragonite and Tyranitar...those pokemon are awesome...but yeah, keep going and by the time LV 100 reaches...you will see the difference....trust me....
that is kinda weird though...with the Subby in there...I dunno but it seems outta place...maybe it is just me....good luck and I would please like to see a follow-up post with the stats of your Dragonite at LV 100....then e can judge...before and after...thanks

Alright thanks a lot guys, much appreciated. Yea I got an effort ribbon but I thought the evs applied asap. I chose brave because I didn't want to use a neautral nature so I was like whatever. Yea I don't compete my brother is a noob. I don't check ivs, too much time. Yea Ill post at lv100. peace
BTW after my ev training can I use rare candy to lv it up without it being weaker and will it still keep those evs?

I think so but I'm not sure. Some else should know. I like the moveset you put in. It's good. Ya. Keep us posted once you get to Lv. 100.
