There has most likely been a topic on this from when Yu-Gi-Oh R first came out. Do you think they should make yu-Gi-Oh R an animé?
I think if they tried pretty hard they could make R pretty good. First of all, use the artists who did episodes 165, 183 and the God Slime episodes (They did loads more, I just can't remember them). They are easily the best and their art is the most manga-like. Second, use the 'classic' background music from Duel monsters: Fang Of Critias, Sealed Miracle, Sennen items etc. To make the episodes the right length they could either add more moves to a duel to make them longer (I'd prefer not though), put more than one duel in an episode or stretch out the episodes. Lastly, make an Overlap-beater theme tune.

*gasp* Can you really beat Overlap as a theme song? That take some pretty kick-ass artistic musicians to do that!
Anyway am all for "R" to be animised, I beleive it can be done and prehaps it will be (TV Tokyo has a consitencey to make any anime about anything including spin-offs) So yeah bring on "R" I'd love to see some of those monsters come to the OCG/TCG

That would be cool. Then there would be 2 Yu-Gi-Oh animes out at the same time in Japan. Add in the manga, the merchandising, and the video games. It'd be like the .Hack craze or Gundam Seed.

Yes, it would make a good anime. I'd especially like to hear the voices of Tenma, the mutant dude, and Tilla Mook.

Lets see....Yu-Gi-Oh! awesome manga, art was awesome, storyline was well intact, nice duels that weren't too long and weren't to short. Good.
Yu-Gi-Oh! anime, art varied from very good to just horrid, stroyline was cut from fillers that killed the main plolts values, duels were made way to long and decks were filled with lame combos, Bad...very bad.
I'd rather not see R end up the same way....just no.
And we have GX...however lame the series is becoming..... , note that R mentions Kaiba's screening for a duel academy in the episode with the junior duel circuit.

Well instead of having wildly varying art like the original they would just have the best one. I think it would be pretty good.
And yes, an Overlap beater would be hard. Surely even YamiBakuraFan likes Overlap, it was more like the manga than the animé. Toothless Ra, flying Yuugi and co (Without yellow glow). Best of all the art in Overlap looked almost like it was done by Kazuki himself.

I will admit that the only pros to the anime IMO were the theme music.
Overlap, Warriors, Shuffle, Wild Drive....all had a distinct manga look to them.
I really wish most of the episodes had retained that look.
The memory arc was the worst, the art was hideous.

The memory arc art wasn't all bad. people just misjudge it because at one point it had a lot of bad arts in a row. I just wish they hadn't rushed it so much.
The animé background music was awesome as well, some real scene setters there. I'm partial to Fang Of Critias, the ultimate comeback tune.

I guess we can blame GX for the rush...
Ryusaki have you not seen the memory arc? from the get-go the art was bad and just degraded as the series moved toward it's climax...I was appauled by how rushed and stupid the undead lock cards looks and what the main strategy was changed to.

199 was fine
200 was crap
201 was ok
202 was ok
203 was ok
204 was pretty good
205 was excellent
206 was ok
207 was pretty good
208 was pretty good
209 was fairly crap
210 was very good
211 was ok
I'll go further later, I might be wrong on some of them, i can't quite remember. Anyway the memory arc had some gems (But 218 was frankly terrible).

And sadly, most of the eps with Kisara did as well.

I said most, but yes, luckily there were a few eps that had her drawn with good animation.
I haven't seen 218. I've seen 199-214, and then I saw 220 before the site I got the eps from went down. Never got to see the rest of the Ceremonial duel... :(

Perhaps its there intention to make Yu-gi-oh R into an anime once the manga is finished?I mean the manga has quite a way to go so who knows...I'm sure people would love to see the original characters in the anime again.
Also if they did make a anime of Yu-gi-oh R that would mean a anime version of Tilla Mook *drools*.

Lets just wait and see how R unfolds first.....it's far from over yet, and Seto Kaiba has joined in on the fray so R will get more interesting.
I'm noticing many parallels between R and the Doma filler arc for the anime, and that bugs me...but pushing the anime from my Brain and just seeing that super hot Tenma with the cool melty eye is great.

Yeah not waiting to make an anime was the problem with DM and the reason we had so many crappy fillers. Lets not repeat this same mistake....but I still say with GX around R has no chance of hitting an anime deal.

And where Kaiba goes "Super Saiyan" to make Yuugi fuse in the first place. XD
Oh, and 217 and 223 are the best episodes in the entire arc. There were some others, but I completely forgot their numbers.
220's art was utterly attrocious, and the crew who did 194 and 200 should be dragged out into a field and shot....

Memory Arc certainly covered the plot-holes from the Manga though. Shaadi anyone?

205 can be added to that list, it's art was probably more detailed than both. The bad art in a lot of cases took some getting used to, but now I can watch the episodes without laughing at how sharp Kaiba's chin gets in 218.

That wasn't a plot hole it was more of a loose end that never got tied up, something for fans to speculate and talk about after Yu-Gi-Oh has passed.

Seeing the RA arc in an animation form will be cool. However, it is mostly Yami duels with a few Joey and a single Kabia duel thrown in. Then again, I want to see the Evil Gods in action. As well as seeing what the Knight fusion will be like.

Maybe so, but that's obviously why they use the 'splosions-No disimberment. It's a much more humane way to show that the monster is now in much smaller pieces than when it woke up this morning.

It seems to me as some of you are think a little to narrow when it comes to the timelines. I don't believe anyone would care if the YGO-R anime ran in a different timeline. Why? BECAUSE IT'S ANIME! If the timelines in animated shows and manga are forced to make sence, than the spirit of animation is dead.
