Lati@s Nature in Emerald

After encountering Latias for the first time in his Emerald version, my brother ran and saved so he could hunt down Latias later and keep trying at it until he got a good natue; he and I did this R/S and I think it had always worked.

But he's now tried catching Latias 5 times, and every time it has had the same nature (Impish).

So, my actual question: Did they change it in Emerald so that Lati@s' nature is determined the first time you meet it?

Yeah. I had that problem too. I didnt want a Latios with a Naughty nature, so i kept turning the game off and not saving. When I finally re-caught it, it still had the Naughty nature. So to answer your question, most likely yes.

Yes... because it's the same Pokemon. It only changes if you restart your game.

It's the same in FR/LG. The legendary dogs' natures cannot be changed. My friend was lucky enough to run into a shiny one, and it ran, but when he caught it, it was still shiny.

I've never seen a shiny legendary in any game boy game. That would have been cool
