CHAPTER 28
“Duel!” Both players shouted.
Yami=4000 Tea=4000
“I’ll begin this duel, Yami.” Tea said. “I set two cards face down, and I call forth Fear from the Dark in attack mode!”
A large shadow creature appeared on the field. It seemed as if it was made from the Shadow Realm itself.
“I draw!” Yami shouted. “I set two cards face down and summon Big Shield Gardna in defense mode!”
A warrior with a massive shield appeared on the field guarding Yami.
“I will draw one card.” Tea said. “I play the Magic card Painful Choice!”
Yami remembered this card.
Flashback
“I draw one card.” Kyo said. “I play the Magic card, Painful Choice. You have to pick one of the five cards that I chose from my deck to go to my hand and the rest go to the graveyard.”
End Flashback
“I choose, Pot of Greed, Wall of Illusion, Sangan, Nuvia the Wicked, and Sinister Serpent.” Tea said.
“Why would Tea, pick Sinister Serpent?” Yami thought to himself. “I can’t see it working in any combo.”
“Well are you going to choose or not?” Tea said
“Wait a second.” Yami thought to himself. “If Sinister Serpent gets discarded, then it comes back at her next turn. She must want me to have Sinister Serpent discarded.”
“Look, the Pharaoh is scared.” Tea taunted. “This duel just started and he’s afraid to…”
“Sinister Serpent!” Yami shouted out.
“Very well Yami.” Tea said. “You’ve taken my bait. Now I remove Wall of Illusion, Sangan, and Nuvia the Wicked for the all powerful Dark Necrofear!”
Dark shadows crept from the ground and formed a woman holding a dead baby that chatters, sent chills down everyone’s spine.
“Now, Yami, I will have my Dark Necrofear attack your Big Shield Gardna!” Tea ordered.
The Dark Fiend opened its eyes to reveal devilish pupils, and it fired red beams at the Big Shield Gardna. The Big Shield Gardna held his shield up and absorbed the attack.
Yami=4000 Tea=3600
The Big Shield Gardna stood to its feet signifying its attack mode.
“Now, Fear from the dark, attack his monster with Ferocious Shriek from the Shadows!” Tea ordered.
The Monster screeched and it sent shockwaves that encased Big Shield Gardna and destroyed it.
Yami=2400 Tea=3600
“I set one card face down, and end my turn.” Tea said. “Things aren’t going so smoothly for you, Yami.”
“I need to win this.” Yami said to himself. “I must save everyone.”
“Well it looks like the Final match is going to be without the ‘King of Games’” Silen said with a smirk.
Yami looked over at Silen and gave him a frustrated glare.
“I draw one card!” Yami shouted. “I play the magic card, Exile of the Wicked!”
A Man wearing a black cloak and holding a book of spells appeared on the field. He began to chant an ancient phrase and he started to glow. Suddenly, Dark Necrofear shrieked and vanished from the playing field.
“My magic card, Exile of the Wicked destroys all Fiend type monsters on the field!” Yami explained. “Now I will set two cards face down and summon Beta the Magnet Warrior in attack mode!”
A large, yellow warrior with magnets for hands appeared on the field. It held its hands together and electricity surged between them.
“I end my turn, Tea!” Yami shouted out.
“Very well,” Tea replied. “I will draw one card! I tribute my Fear form the Dark for, Great Maju Garzett!”
A large cloud of darkness covered Fear from the Dark and with a huge explosion emerged a massive beast that towered over the playing field.
“Meet, Great Maju Garzett!” Tea snickered. “Great Maju Garzett’s attack is double that of the monster that was used as a tribute for him. So now my beast stands at 3400!”
“That is one big duel monster!” Sentra said as she finally came to her feet.
“I will also play the Magic card, Heavy Storm!” Tea shouted.
A violent storm kicked up that wiped away all of Yami’s trap cards that he had set.
“Now, Yami,” Tea said. “Feel my wrath! Great Maju Garzett, attack!”
The large beast slashed at Beta the Magnet Warrior, and the attack caused an explosion which covered the field in smoke.
Yami=700 Tea=3600
“I end my turn.” Tea said. “It looks like you were no match for me.”
“I won’t give in.” Yami said. “I draw!”
“You can do this, Yami!” Sentra shouted. “All of your friends are with you!”
Yami smirked as he drew a card that he knew would turn the tables of this duel.
“I play the ritual Magic card, Black Luster Ritual!”
A Large black cauldron appeared on the field with a symbol on it.
“I offer Valkyrion the Magna Warrior as tribute to summon, Black Luster Soldier!” Yami shouted.
The pot began to smoke and it shattered releasing the purple smoke on the field. As the smoke cleared a warrior suited in gold and blue armor appeared on the field wielding a large sword, fit for taking down the toughest opponents.
“Cool monster, Yami” Tea said. “But regardless, it’s no match for my Great Maju Garzett”
“Oh, Tea, I am not done!” Yami shouted. “Now I play the Magic card, Blade of the Warrior’s soul!”
Black Luster Soldier’s sword began to glow as it grew to the size of the soldier, himself.
“My Magic card increases my warrior’s attack by 1000.” Yami shouted. “Now, Black Luster Soldier stands at 4000 attack!”
“I-Impossible!” Tea screeched.
“No, Black Luster Soldier, attack Great Maju Garzett with Chaos Blade!” Yami ordered
The soldier raised his sword to the heavens as divine light shone down on him. The sword began to glow, and the soldier aimed it then at the Great Maju Garzett. The soldier jumped into the air and sliced vertically through the Great Maju Garzett. The entire field radiated with light and an explosion occurred that launched everyone off of their feet. Smoke rose and left the field looking like a war had just occurred.
Yami=700 Tea=3200
The Smoke cleared and everyone got back on their feet.
“For such an attack, I’m still winning this duel!” Tea said.
Yami=700 Tea=1500
“What happened to my Life Points!” Tea shouted out.
“That is the second effect of my Blade of the Warrior’s Soul.” Yami began to explain. “Half of the attack points of each monster that it destroys will be deducted from your Life Points!”
“Well, this duel isn’t as one sided as I had expected.” Silen stated.
“Tea, I will win this duel.” Yami said. “Even if it means that I have to destroy you!”
CHAPTER 29
“I end my turn.” Yami said.
Tea’s face had gotten crazed, and she laughed hysterically as she drew her next card.
“Yami, I will end you!” She screeched. “I now play the Magic card, Mystical Space Typhoon, on your Blade of the Warrior’s Soul!”
A small cyclone appeared on the field and obliterated the radiating blade for the Black Luster Soldier, leaving him with his usual blade.
“Next I play the Magic card, Monster Reborn!” Tea shouted. “I revive my Dark Necrofear!”
The shrilling fiend that was holding its possessed baby appeared on the field once again.
“But, don’t worry, Yami, I won’t attack with this. I will offer it as tribute for Dragon Bone Ogre!”
The Necrofear’s skin began to peel off and her bones fell to the ground. Bones of other duel Monsters that were defeated in the battle rose and they began to form a large beast that had a visible black heart and glowing red eyes.
“This monster is known as Dragon Bone Ogre!’ Tea shouted. “Now attack, Black Luster Soldier!”
“Your monster has only 2600 attack points!” Yami shouted.
“The true secret lies within its effect!” Tea shouted.
The Ogre charged at the Soldier and the Soldier retaliated by slicing it in half with it’s blade.
Yami=700 Tea=900
“The bones then came to life and completely covered the soldier. The armor was burnt away as if it was being covered in acid, and the Bones of the Black Luster Soldier fell to the ground in a heap in front of Yami.
“My monster’s effect is that it destroys any Warrior monster that it battles!” Tea explained. “Yami you won’t win, for now I set two cards face down and end my turn.”
“I draw!” Yami shouted. “I play Monster Reborn on my Black Luster Soldier!”
The soldier reappeared on the field, but he looked much fiercer. His blade seemed to have grown.
“It’s over, Tea!” Yami said. “Black Luster Soldier, attack Tea!”
The soldier began to glow with golden light and charged at Tea.
“Trap card, activate, Nightmare Wheel!” Tea shouted.
The soldier ran full force into a wheel, which strapped him to it.
“Now every turn, you will lose 500 Life Points, which means that you need to win in two turns.” Tea said.
“I end my turn.” Yami said in a defeated tone.
“I draw!” Tea shouted.
The wheel cranked and the Luster Soldier screamed in agony as it was wheeled through spikes that tore at his flesh.
Yami=200 Tea=900
“I set one monster in defense mode, and I end my turn.”
“I draw one card!” Yami shouted. “I tribute my Luster Soldier for Jack’s Knight!”
The Nightmare Wheel as well as the Soldier disappeared and in their place appeared a Knight with blonde hair.
“Now I will play the Magic card, Emblem of Dragon Destroyer!”
Flames burst out of the card and took form of a Buster Blader.
“With this card I can search my deck my deck for a Buster Blader and place it in my hand.” Yami explained. “Now I play the Magic card, Polymerization and fuse together Dark Magician and Buster Blader to form Dark Paladin!”
Dark Magician and Buster Blader appeared on the field and a dark smoke covered the two. The smoke gently cleared and revealed a new monster that stood much taller then the Dark Magician and Buster Blader. It had Buster Blader’s armor, and Dark Magician’s facial features. It also wielded a giant staff that was glowing with purple light.
“This is the end, Tea!” Yami shouted. “Dark Paladin, Attack!”
The Paladin held up its staff and absorbed the darkness around it. It fired a blast at the facedown card.
“Trap card, open!” Tea shouted. “Sakuretsu Armor!”
A fiend on the field appeared cloaked in silver armor. It charged at the Dark Paladin and slashed it into pieces.
“This trap card destroys one attacking monster.” Tea explained. “Care to take another try?”
“I will!” Yami shouted. “Jack’s Knight, attack!”
The Knight rushed forward and slashed through the facedown card. A small fiend with a mask and large talons, appeared on the field, and was immediately destroyed.
“That was my Newdoria.” Tea said. “Now, your Jack’s Knight is destroyed!”
The dark energy from inside the Newdoria enveloped the Jack’s Knight and immediately destroyed him.
“Now, Yami, you are wide open!” Tea said. “And with only 200 Life Points, I can finish you off with any monster in my deck!”
