over my playing experience, I've noticed wizards loves to get peoples hopes up just to be crushed in the next set that's released...quote from my friend.

"hey tyler have you seen the new card stabalizer" "yeah and I think it's BS"

he used to think astral slide was a cool deck to play till scourge came out.
another quote from a different friend.

"who's F-ing idea was it to make this",(shows me mesmeric orb) I laugh and say "well guess that just killed your elf deck huh"

Apparently he liked that elf deck. and at the moment I think he has 5 mesmeric orbs because he keeps trading them off of people who get them so they won't use them against him.

well I guess what I'm getting at is who here thinks we can expect to see something in the future that's just going to throw an even bigger wrench into the skullclamp.

some stupid little thing thats like 1 mana and all it does is like whenever equipped creatures are put into a graveyard their controller sacrifices everything attached to that creature

I dunno something along these lines...

Perhaps MaRo has been under the influence a little bit lately. :D, just kidding. I dunno, but we only play what R&D wants us to. I guess I don't mind all that much if they make very powerful cards like Skullclamp. They need to put something more on the banned list in Type 2, notwithstanding fatespinner.

Let down at each set? Meh, not really. I rarely put much hype and expectations into what's gonna come out. I just read the spoiler, see what I think will be good, then buy for as low as possible on ebay. I don't want to say that I'm ignorant, but I don't put a lot of hope into what Wizards will make.

Heh, I quit MTG partly because the cool carshop closed and partly because WotC is freakin' ghey. =(

I mean, there hasn't been a good set since Urza's block, they changed the card layout, they reprint crap, they made us choose between BoP and Elves, where does it end? It doesn't, they'll just keep BSing us. =p

I haven't looked at a single card after Legions, and I only looked at a few in Legions.

lol in terms of making the game better, urzas was the worst set ever. it completely destroyed the game until they put in a bunch of bans

It was the block that generated the most cards; and the deck "Tinker".

And UU control decks.

And other awesome decks. It had Time Spiral, come on!

I remember playing Apprentice with N and he'd always beat me using those cards. =|

I hope wotc gets their heads on straight when the next block starts, i'm getting tired of this God-Forsaken metal world. I have nightmares of colorless casting costs in my sleep.

Oh and while they're at it... it would be nice to give black back its balls.
They had fun humilliating every black mage on Mirrodin, it's time for the joke to finally end...

man shadow if you think black is weak you really ought to hang around my friend he is going to throwdown with a mono black deck at the next tourny and I bet he's gonna get pretty high up with it. cuz I haven't seen any deck around here beat it yet.

I'm not going to spoil it.

Is it aggro or control based?
I've been trying to get a decent black deck going for months...
