I just noticed that when Mai attacked Joey's Scapegoat in their 3rd duel (all together) she called it a "Scapegoat token", making her the only person to refer to it as a token

They've always refered to them as tokens. The dub just dumbed it down by making them "Scapegoats" or something like that.
