Okay, I decided to drop my "Inferno" deck for now and try out something new. I strongly believe Light is the strongest type to run right now, and that may stand when future sets come out.

I decided at first to run Red/White, but I realized that nearly every card in the deck would be important, and it would be tough to lay cards down for Mana. I decided to splash Nature into my deck just for the Mana costs.

I haven't tested anything out yet, but here is the first draft:

Fire/Light/Nature

Creatures-30
4x Mighty Shouter
4x Artisan Picora
4x Bolshack Dragon
4x Deadly Fighter Braid Claw
4x Emerald Grass
4x Immortal Baron, Vorg
4x La Ura Giga, Sky Guardian
2x Burning Mane

Spells-20
4x Solar Ray
4x Crimson Hammer
4x Holy Awe
4x Dimension Gate
2x Ultimate Force
2x Laser Wing

Count: 12 Nature, 18 Light, 20 Fire (50 cards)

Strategy: I love Light; it is such a powerful color to run. My main thing here is to use quick, fast creatures to break a few early shields, then cast a Bolshack Dragon with a Laser Wing to win the game. Light is the supporting type to the main type: Fire. I can use quick, effective creatures early game and drop a Bolshack or two to end the game. Nature is strictly for Mana, so I don't have to afford to use too many of my main cards. Ultimate Force would help in getting out a Bolshack Dragon or two mid-game, and Dimension Gate is to search for Bolshack Dragon. Mighty Shouter and Burning Mane for Nature creatures and mana-production.

So, what do you think? I personally think it's a solid deck, but it does need work. I'm iffy on the two Laser Wings and I think I should run more, but I don't want to clear 50 cards.

Comments? Suggestions? All input would be appreciated!

p.s. -> My screenname is Stegyman incase anyone wants to chat or play a game. I have that Duel Masters program, but I can't find a good patch for Apprentice.

HEY,great deck! i like it alot, if u can, try to keep it at forty cards, i realize that this is hard but your chances of getting a good card are MUCH better, i learned that early on in almost all card games. i'm thinking of doing a pure water deck focusing on heavy card drawing and attacking shields directly. what do u think? please give me your advice! :D

Thanks for the reply! I know forty cards increases my chances of drawing a good card, but how will I get it into play? By having Mana down, right? Where does that Mana come from? Yeah, my OTHER good cards. It's such a hard decision to decide on what cards to lay as Mana in the early game. So, I chose to add another type to the deck that was strickly for Mana. My 12 Nature cards help by providing a solid Mana source for my deck. Instead of setting an important Bolshack Dragon or Holy Awe as Mana, I can set a Mighty Shouter or Ultimate Force. All I need is ONE Fire card and ONE Light card to get rolling, then just spend everything else on Nature. If I get a Nature card, I KNOW to put it as Mana. Mighty Shouter and Dimension Gate are strickly optional. If I can play a fourth turn Gate to nab a Bolshack Dragon, then I will do that. Mane and Ultimate Force are kind of just there for Mana.

An all Water deck? Water and Light are probably the only two types right now that can be ran solo. Personally, I would suggest Water/Light as a possibly deck idea. Both types have fantastic Blockers while Water has some unblockable creatures, and Light has cards that tap your opponent's creatures. So, with Light, you can attack your opponent's shields directly, and with Water you can be drawing those important cards! It's a great idea. Try building a Water/Light deck and see how that works out for you. If it doesn't, then give solo-Water a try. Make sure to add King Depthcon in either deck. It's an awesome Water creature =)

Now that I think about it, maybe Water would be better instead of Nature? I could use Crystal Memory to search for ANY card, not use any creature card. But Nature is good Mana-acceleration! Argh.

Any other helpful suggestions for the deck? I would gladly appreciate anything and everything =)

Thanks for the reply! I know Gatling Skyterror can attack untapped creatures (I have a nice holo of the card ;x), but most of the time I won't be attacking untapped creatures. It's mostly just Holy Awe/Solar Ray, then hit the shields. That's about it =)

What do you guys think about Light/Fire/Water? I'd like to use Crystal Memory to search for important cards. Any input?
