Okay, I decided to drop my "Inferno" deck for now and try out something new. I strongly believe Light is the strongest type to run right now, and that may stand when future sets come out.
I decided at first to run Red/White, but I realized that nearly every card in the deck would be important, and it would be tough to lay cards down for Mana. I decided to splash Nature into my deck just for the Mana costs.
I haven't tested anything out yet, but here is the first draft:
Fire/Light/Nature
Creatures-30
4x Mighty Shouter
4x Artisan Picora
4x Bolshack Dragon
4x Deadly Fighter Braid Claw
4x Emerald Grass
4x Immortal Baron, Vorg
4x La Ura Giga, Sky Guardian
2x Burning Mane
Spells-20
4x Solar Ray
4x Crimson Hammer
4x Holy Awe
4x Dimension Gate
2x Ultimate Force
2x Laser Wing
Count: 12 Nature, 18 Light, 20 Fire (50 cards)
Strategy: I love Light; it is such a powerful color to run. My main thing here is to use quick, fast creatures to break a few early shields, then cast a Bolshack Dragon with a Laser Wing to win the game. Light is the supporting type to the main type: Fire. I can use quick, effective creatures early game and drop a Bolshack or two to end the game. Nature is strictly for Mana, so I don't have to afford to use too many of my main cards. Ultimate Force would help in getting out a Bolshack Dragon or two mid-game, and Dimension Gate is to search for Bolshack Dragon. Mighty Shouter and Burning Mane for Nature creatures and mana-production.
So, what do you think? I personally think it's a solid deck, but it does need work. I'm iffy on the two Laser Wings and I think I should run more, but I don't want to clear 50 cards.
Comments? Suggestions? All input would be appreciated!
p.s. -> My screenname is Stegyman incase anyone wants to chat or play a game. I have that Duel Masters program, but I can't find a good patch for Apprentice.
