Yu-Gi-Oh GX to be on Cartoon Network only

I apologise if this is old or incorrect news, but I found something that suggests that Yu-Gi-Oh GX will run along with Yu-Gi-Oh, but GX will only be on Cartoon Network on the young children's Miguzi block. Wierd, huh?

Well that a whole Block special was for the summer and chances are GX is coming in the fall. If it does come to CN on Toonami then it won't get many useless and dialouge changes and death can finally be mentioned.

That's a pretty good idea. I think CN would benefit from showing un or less edited episodes. It would make a lot of people happy, too. Or at least less unhappy.

If you think about it there is a very good explanation for why the new series is being put on cartoon network. There is no room to put the new GX show as it stands right now. All of the shows on Sat are doing really good and are pulling in decent ratings with Yu Gi Oh and Pokemon leading the way. By putting GX on Cartoon network they can replace a show like static shock which is no longer making new episodes for something new that has a new that kids know. Either way the WB owns the cartoon network and can only help the cartoon network that is already hurting for shows that kids will which and that are new and not re-runs of cancelled shows.

Yugioh has the stigma of being a kid's show, and so far GX isn't nearly as dark. There's no way on earth it would end up on Adult Swim IMO. Also, since when did Kids WB own CN? I was under the assumption that WB and CN were both sub-companies of Viacom and had some sort of deal to share their shows with each other.

There's not as much to cut out, at least...Except Spark Gun, and maybe even the whole deal with Camilla.

You couldn't even see their cleavage, it was nothing to worry about. It was just their head and shoulders. And it fast-forwards until after they're dressed when they get out of the water.

She's got a somewhat graphic past, that's all. Everyone knows 4Kids hates flashbacks of events in tan-and-white, and will almost definitely cut out the death of Camilla's son.

What? When did they keep death inuendo in One Piece. One Piece has been totally butchered. I read the manga, and I was looking forward to the anime release in the US until I heard that fox grabbed it up... One Piece's opening theme is horrible and the voices and scripting are atrocius.

I wish that Anime was released only by repuable companies like ADV or Rightstuff or not at all. I'd gladly wait several years for a good anime series to be released uncut over a quick butchered version by a lesser company. Once a series has been butchered, there is almost no chance of it ever getting it's uncut version released stateside. The only Anime to ever be re-released that I know of are Macross, the uncut episodes never aired, and DBZ's first season, which will air later this year on cartoon network. I hope GX doesn't suffer the same fate as everything else that releases under THAT studio, but I won't hold my breath.

(Now, a moment of silence for all the butchered anime: Zatch Bell, Duel Masters, Rave Master, One Piece... And the list goes on and on.)

I hope they don't butcher it up like what happened to Yu-gi-oh already, because for some reason I don't seem to see any things that would majorly butcher the storyline or characters by dubbing, but for some reason, like they pointlessly dubbed a lot of stuff in Yu-gi-oh, they will also find pointless dubbing in the GX series too. Stupid 4-Kids.

Actually, Fox's Saturday morning line-up ranges from less than 1 to 2 in my experience, I seem to recall shows like One Piece getting a 1.2 and others like Mew Mew Power getting a 0.7. It may have changed since I last checked, but if it's leaped up that high it is news to me.

According to my Boss(I work for a WB affiliate) Kids WB will get GX, it is edited by the same company that edits for Cartoon Network, 4KIDS doesn't edit differently for each station. As for KIDS WB, the weekday cartoons are going away due to poor ratings. The fact of the matter is ALL KIDS programming is seeing a decline in ratings, even your beloved "CN". For those who complained about cable being too espensive, you better save your pennys, 'cause within the next few years there will be no broadcast signals(i.e. nothing on your bunny ears!) The FCC is planning to ban the analog signal used for TV stations and convert them to Police and Fire transmitter stations(For walkie talkies)That being said I agree that editing is dumb, however 4KIDS edits for FCC restrictions on Kids programming...Now think hard, ever see a commercial for a Yu-Gi-Oh toy during Yu-Gi-Oh?....well you won't because it is against FCC regulations to advertise a product for a show during the show(kids programming only) Stations that mess this up can be fined thousands of dollars, and have there license revoked...Just thought you would like to know.

oh yeah and Asuka Tenjoin, very few shows anywhere get 6/7's it's very very tough. American Idol barely grabbed that in it's prime, and it was the number one show this past season.
