Yeah, the dub destroyed any storyline we could have hoped for, I am looking forward to the two being run side-by-side so that we can see GX and its new characters, without forgeting about the old ones, but obvioulsly I like GX way more than Memory World.

Just from the two eps of Memory Arc I've seen, I can forsee at LEAST 20 changes total. Mind you, this includes dialogue edits, picture edits, etc.

Ya, the dub killed YGO. I loved the days when they said: "Kaiba's dead, and up there is his ghost!" Now, they have: "My little brother was taken away from me, and it's all your fault!"

Since KC Grand Prix is so short, it's assumed it will begin in August and end in October, which will invoke both Pharaoh's Memory and GX.

That isn't particularly bad, because GX hasn't yet had any "OMFG I can't understand this because I never saw the predecessor" moments.

They should just do what was done to Sailor Moon. Never release the last season in English, and let the hardcore fans import the Japanese Original in all of its uncut glory. I gave up on the English anime series somewhere between Battle City and Duelist Kingdom. Once you have seen the originals, there is no going back.

I'm just looking forward to see how badly GX gets butchered. It's pretty inoffensive, but I gurantee they'll find a way to water it down until even toddlers turn their noses away in disgust. I'll cross my fingers and pray for the minimal of chopping on GX, but I won't hold my breath.

I find it amazing how different the Dub seems with different background music. That is one of things I like so much about the original. Nothing in the dub can compare to Malik's God Phoenix burning the crap out of Jonouchi with the God's Anger music playing in the background. Anyone who has seen this will understand.

Oh, but they can't do that. See, it's all about a good advertisement for them. They don't want the kiddies saying, "Hey, what happened to Yugi?"

Worst case scenario: They'll show like 9 eps of Memory Arc, possibly chopping a few into one. The sparse amount that gets through will be the eps that have dueling. That's pretty much what they did in the Sakura Card Arc for CardCaptors over here.

In fact, I could go on about the comparison between CC and YGO. Though they are clearly of two different genres, the main problem is the same: Both Nelvana and 4Kids screwed up in deciding the target audience (Nelvana more so). Both companies acted like psivamps (as JoySweeper would put it), sucking out emotion or any potential for relationship. Both tried to make the anime Monster-centered instead of character-centered. Any ep that didn't relate to the Monsters had cut potential.

I really wish they'd release the whole series uncut. I, personally, don't really like reading subtitles, I like to understand what I'm hearing, and i do, for the most part, like the english voices. So I'd love to see it in its true form in english.

And in the end whoever wins get's to duel Yugi.

They KCGP is after Doma when they are trying to get to Egypt. Mokuba says that if Yugi participates in this tourney then they will get a lift. It's a filler season that was added to let the Memory World manga finish in Japan.

Ahem. Let me just say, I hate the dubbers more than anything. They make the whole thing seem like "Let's skip through the flowers and lahdie lah bull crap." I think that they just should have put the whole thing in English, NO EDITING, and shoved it on adult swim on CN.

Also, I think that they should release uncut dvds a whole season at a time, because I want to see certain episodes uncut more than others.

Back to GX. It doesn't seem good. Summaries that I have read say "Yuki Judai's in a dueling school and he wants to show everyone that I don't suck!" I probably wouldn't be so sarcastic about it but their putting it on before they even give Yami a chance to die, and by the way, they'll probably change that in the U.S version to "He went on Vacation," or something stupid like that.

I wouldn't say that GX sucks. It really is more like bubble gum than anything else. You enjoy it for a half hour at a time then move on with your life. Whereas the original was much more like a 12 course dinner, forcing you to sit through every course to reach your meat and deserts.

The "Hope" in the dub was originally nameless, and fused with The Void in the second movie to make The Hope. Reason for not dubbing? It was almost entirely about Li/Sakura relationship.

A lot of people think GX is bad, which it really isn't. It's a good break from: "OMFG! You destroyed my Alphabet Magnet Warrior! Now I'll never win and the owrld will crumble into the Shadow Realm! Waah..."

I think GX is great. The cards are cool, and the opponents they duel are mad awesome. Vamp. Cammilla has to have the coolest deck.

Nope, that's the Shonen Jump translation. The real name for the series is "Pharaoh's Memory Saga" or "Memory World." Millenium World just doesn't sound very good, IMO, but it's better then the crap 4Kids would've come up with.

I hope they don't squeeze all of the Memroy Arc into one movie for the ending because I really want to feel everything, not just a digest of the storyline. If they butcher up that Arc I would be uber pissed. Also, Yu-gi-oh, Family Guy, Pokemon, Simpsons, and American Dad are the only things that I usually watch on T.V since I don't have any cable (I miss Futurama so much.) Anyways, if they do make it a movie, they better not dub anything and make it even more graphic than Yugioh:The Movie. I mean, when I watched the movie I was suprised that 4Kids did not pointlessly dub anything in the movie and it was better than expected. I mean, who couldn't love Joey's arse getting stabbed by IFL, Yugi getting stabbed by Peten, and the word "die" takes me back some memories. It just made me wished that the series weren't dub either even more. ...Sigh I really wished I could see an uncut version of Yugioh on T.V. because that would just be sweet.
