Pretty interesting thought nightspade. I agree with you since Dartz and Hitler do have some similarities. Also, if you haven't noticed one of the souls captured by Dartz contains someone in the tablet that looked similar to Hitler in this pic I saw in one of these threads.

Of course it is, Sno. There are all sorts of mental disorders out there. There's also egotism, which can happen to anyone. However, I wouldn't go bashing any mental disorders.

I just made a note of this in the Oreichalkos thread, so I'll summarise what I said there briefly. It seems like fascism. Those who have been successfully brainwashed are assured that Dartz is always right, which is indeed like Mussolini and Hitler. Like any fascist dictator, Dartz destroys anyone who opposes (or at least tries).

At the same time, it's not as strong as historical fascism. Note how Mai was fighting only for herself, instead of the grand cause. She had no reason to hate all of humanity, and so rebelled.

Actually, I'd say (given that description) Dartz is more like Chancellor/Emperor Palpatine of Star Wars than Hitler, reason being that he manipulated events to shape his chief enforcers (Raphael, Alister, Varon, etc.; Vader, etc.). Of course, both are fictional characters probably based on such figures as Hitler.

Anyway, yeah. Interesting thought.

Actually he wanted people who could conquer their "darkness" and pretty much the entire human race didn't fit that in his eyes. He wanted a perfect "race" of humans, but it was more complicated that Hitlers goals.

You've heard about how modern humans are taller than their ancestors. Partly because of nutrition, but that can't be all of it.

Look at Dartz. He is not short. At all. It could be an Atlantian thing, but did you see him in the Egypt scene? Was he stooping or towering over people?

Plus, ancient humans thought living to your forties made you really old. What's Dartz, over ten thousand? I realize that it could be another Atlantian thing, and that the Orichalkos preserves him, but still.

What's it done to him? It's preserved his body and presumably his mind(He isn't senile) in pristine condition, it's kept him able to adapt to the times, it's raised his height slowly over centuries so he's always "Slightly tall, but not freakish". And it changed the color of one eye.

He might not be human anymore. Human-derived, certainly. But not human as in the sense of homo sapiens sapiens, the average human from breeding-with-neanderthal(spelling!) days to twenty-first century and beyond.

Everyone always says "You were one, so you HAVE to love them, or there's Something Wrong With You, Freak"(And in my case "You're female. Your maternal instict drives you to LOVE BABIES UNCONDITIONALLY. Yes, even when they're slimy screaming red larvae."). I seek to avoid babies, children, and fellow teenagers(Sixteen today. I feel old.) as well as some young adults; Dartz seeks(sought?) to destroy those specimens of humanity that are not unlike slimy screaming red larvae.

My maternal instinct has been ...rewired. I go all coo-oh-how-cute on cats. And birds. And snakes(LOVE those forked tongues!). And especially baby crocodilians. Is there ANYTHING cuter than an ahht-ing baby croc?*incoherent babbling* Well, they would be cuter if they had longer necks, forward-facing eyes, grasping limbs, and wings, but let's not go there.

It's just humans that give me a bad reaction. I'm sorry, but human babies... I realize that all (or almost all)younglings make messes at both ends, cry and cry and will not be consoled, become ill for mysterious reasons, play loudly at all hours, etc etc, but still...
