Johto Starters

Ok, I'm trying to transfer a Cyndaquil into Emerald from my Ruby, right now I'm at the earliest possible time to trade, when can I trade it? Is there a National Dex in this game too? Sorry if this has been asked before.

Yep. U can only trade it after u get the national dex from the porf. after beating the elite 4!

Also, if you complete your HoennDex (all 200 Pokémon found only in Hoenn (Jirachi and Deoxys excluded)), you can pick a Johto starter from Prof. Birch in his lab. I know this was in the JPN version, but I'm not sure if it carried over to the USA/PAL version.

Ok, thanks! I guess I'll just raise a Cyndaquil for the battle frontier and Interfed, yeah I think it was transfered over to the U.S.
