Episode 70: A Glimpse of the Past Part 3
Yes it's true. I have brought my series to this board now. Enjoy!
Last time, {A} used the magic of the his Millennium Clock to show everybody part of the past. Everybody found out how various events became to be. {A} showed how Malik and Isis used their quick-wittedness to get 3 Blue Eyes White Dragon cards, the Millennium Rod and Necklace.
After a battle with Solo Mutou and a Blue Eyes White Dragon, Malik and Isis managed to get their items back and hit the hills. {A} was presented the Millennium Eight and Clock by the Golden God because Heishin wasn't worthy enough to hold them. {A} then showed a battle against Slifer the Sky Dragon, and just when it looked like Slifer was defeated, he kept getting back up. Yami and Seto eventually teamed up to use Black Luster Soldier and the Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon....
Howerver, {A} pulled the vision just when it looked like Slifer was defeated and turned it to a vision of when he fought Zelse Kaiba for the Grand Undisputed Duelist Championship. Kaiba noticed something familar about the duel though and so did Yugi...
{A}: 1600 LP
Zelse: 1300 LP
It was Zelse's turn after {A}'s Golden Warrior (2300/2000) destroyed Sagi the Dark Clown. (1800/1500) Zelse had a Blue Eyes White Dragon in his hand. 'Heh, this little punk doesn't know what he's doing. I could easily destroy his monster with my Blue Eyes White Dragon. However, I should make him lose his guard....' Zelse took a defense monster out of his hand. "I shall set this monster in defense mode and end my turn."
{A} drew his card. 'Alright, I would think that somebody like Zelse has a Blue Eyes White Dragon in his hand. He must be trying to make me lose my guard....well that's not going to happen at all....I've got a surprise for him!' {A} had a Mirror Force and Swords of Revealing Light in his hand. "I will place this card face-down and have Golden Warrior attack your defense monster!"
Zelse's Stone Wall was destroyed and he took his turn. 'Oh well, I suppose it's truely time for me to put this loser away.' He looked at his Blue Eyes White Dragon in his hand and smiled at it. It was his prized card. "First, I'm using Cyclone to destroy your face-down magic/trap card! And now....Prepare yourself {A}! My ancestors have pasted the three Blue Eyes White Dragons down to me! These creatures are unlike any other you've seen! They cannot be defeated and I'll prove it! Go my Blue Eyes White Dragon! (3000/2500)"
The mighty dragon arose onto the field. The large blue eyes, the huge blueish-white body. It roarred and the crowd went wild; it was everybody's favorite card to see. Many people took pictures of it. They were actually seeing the Blue Eyes White Dragon in play! It was a truely amazing site to see in this outdoor arena, the Canberra Arena.
The Canberra Arena was built about 200 years ago, when Duel Monsters were brought to this area. The arena was built to determine champions, and from then on, the Grand Undisputed Duelist Championship was decided in this arena on Canberra Island. It could seat about 50,000 fans, and the stadium was pretty full today for the championship match between Zelse Kaiba and {A}.
Zelse laughed. "Blue Eyes White Dragon! White Lightning Attack!"
{A} lost his Golden Warrior and 700 of his life points.
{A}: 900 LP
Zelse: 1300 LP
{A} drew his card. He had an idea on how to escape this Blue Eyes White Dragon problem. All he needed was to assemble the mighty Colosseus. He had the Head, Body and the Arms of the Colosseus in his hand. All he needed were the Feet of Colosseus card and he could summon it. "I set a monster in defense mode. I end my turn."
Zelse drew his card. 'Another Blue Eyes White Dragon...hah....this rookie is doomed.' He laughed. "Blue Eyes White Dragon! Destroy that pathetic monster!"
{A}'s Giant Soldier of Stone was destroyed.
{A} drew his card. 'Hey, this'll help me stop those dragons...' He had drawn a good defense monster. "I set another monster in defense mode and end my turn."
Zelse rolled a finger at {A}. "Tsk tsk {A}, you can't even destroy one Blue Eyes? Well one chance would you have if I played a second one!? (3000/2500) Blue Eyes! Obliterate that defense monster!"
{A} flipped the monster over. "Millennium Shield! (0/3000) I'm afraid even your Blue Eyes White Dragons can't destroy my Shield!"
Zelse's mouth dropped open. "No way! That's impossible! How'd you get a card like Millennium Shield!?"
The audiance went wild. Somebody actually blocked a Blue Eyes White Dragon attack! Most of them had never seen that before.
Zelse was angry now. "There's only a handful of those cards out! I can't believe you managed to get one of them..."
{A} drew his card. "I will lay one card face-down and end my turn."
Zelse drew his card. 'Wait I know....I'll lure him into attack mode. I'll get him to play another weak monster, then I'll slap down my third Blue Eyes White Dragon!' He laughed. "Go Judgement Man! (2200/1500) I end my turn."
{A} drew his card. "Luckily I drew.....Perfect Sword Warrior! (2500/2500) Perfect Sword Drop!"
{A}: 900 LP
Zelse: 1000 LP
Zelse shrugged. 'Hey it works for now....' Zelse slapped down his third Blue Eyes White Dragon. "Heh... (3000/2500) I now have all three of my creatures out! My third Blue Eyes will attack your Perfect Sword Warrior!"
{A}: 400 LP
Zelse: 1000 LP
Zelse now had complete control of the match. He was proud of his work. All he needed was a Raigeki card and then he could destroy {A} once and for all.
{A} drew his card. "Go Swords of Revealing Light! This means you will not be able to attack for the next 3 turns!"
Zelse didn't like this, but he knew that there was no monster {A} had that could destroy his Blue Eyes White Dragons. He thought that he had the game won already.
Kaiba: Yes! Go father!
{A}: Kaiba...
Kaiba: Sorry. :(
Yugi: *sigh*
Tea: Figures....
Joey: Hey an arena!
Brian, Sheri, Jay: -.-
Zelse took his card. "Since I can't attack, I end my turn."
{A} drew his card. He still didn't get the Colosseus piece and there were only two turns left for him to get it. If he didn't get the card, he'd lose the match and the title. He ended his turn without putting anything down on the field.
Zelse took his next card from his dueling deck. "Excellent! I play Raigeki! This means in two turns I can attack your life points directly with my Blue Eyes White Dragons! I shall retain my title like I have for the past 5 years!"
{A} sneered. "We'll see about that Zelse. This game might not last two more turns hopefully...."
"Hah! What are you talking about?"
"There is one card I have in my deck that can take down all three of your Blue Eyes White Dragons at the same time!"
"!!! There's no such thing!!!"
The crowd was getting excited. "What was the card?" somebody asked.
"I didn't hear the name." another said.
"I hope it's got lots of attacks!" a little kid said.
"I bet it will!" A teenager said.
Everybody was getting wild now. They all wanted to see the card in action. What was it? What's the name? What set is it in? All these questions were piling through the crowds and nobody could answer them.
"Just take your turn then {A}!"
{A} drew his card and laughed. "I will gladly do so Zelse! You have lost your Grand Undisputed Duelist Championship!" He threw all four pieces of Colosseus on the arena.
Colosseus began to take form, the 20 foot giant.
Zelse was speechless. "Wha-.....WHAT is that!?"
{A} bowed to Colosseus. "Ladies and Gentlemen I give you Colosseus! (5000/4500)"
Zelse backed away. "N...no! It can't be! I've heard stories..."
{A} laughed. "I'll take that Grand Undisputed Duelist Championship if you don't mind. Colosseus! Plasma Laser Blast!"
Colosseus' blast ripped through the Blue Eyes White Dragons and sent Zelse's Life Points to 0.
Kaiba: BOOOO!!! Get a job!
{A}: Silence!
Kaiba: Sorry...

Everybody was in the white area again.
{A} continued talking. "After that, I never lost a single duel myself. I am still the GUDC to this very day, and as you all know Brian is the UDC. I have never gotten into a match that involved both championships. At the win of that match, the titles would combine into the Grand Undisputed Duelist Championship, even though it's already called that. I wish to duel a worthy person, so why not my own apprentice? I taught Brian and his friends duel monsters since they were all 10. That's 5 years of training from a 5000 year old person. I'd say that's mainly the reason why they have the best cards and know all the strategies."
Brian laughed. "Yep the master has taught me all I know. I'm glad to see you have finally returned. Shall we finish?"
Yugi stopped them. "Finish what?"

{A} teleported everybody back into the arena. "You see.......the U.D.G. and I are going to the past to change it, so that when we come back, we rule the world! It's as simple as that!"
Yugi fell anime style. "Aw come on....nobody can make this easy on us can they? And what about my rematch?"
{A} laughed. "Only a worthy duelist deserves a rematch."
Joey got angry. "Who you callin a not worthy duelist? Yugi is the best out of us here!"
Kaiba sulked. "....."
Joey was mad now. "I'll show you a worthy duelist!"
{A} snapped all of the sudden. "Alright Joey, let's see if your worthy or not!" {A} got out his deck. "My deck is made of the most powerful monsters ever! I'll show you who to respect! You will respect me!"
