Kudan= Ka? (Potential spoiler warning)

In the CLAMP crossover series "Tsubasa," one of the settings is another world, in which everyone has a "Kudan." A Kudan is a spirit from the heart, and can be used for combative purposes. One can also use the powers of one's Kudan, ex. flight or fire manipulation, without the Kudan showing its true form.

My question is, how close is this to the "Ka" in the Memory Arc, for those that have seen it? I know that the Ka is a spirit also, but I don't really know that much else.

i think you may have something, the idea of spirits that embody a persons personality, or feelings, is something used quite frequently in anime

I see a lot of simliarities between the Kudan from Tsubasa and Ka monsters. I think there pretty much the same thing....on a side note: The Kudan arc was my favorate so far in Tsubasa, Go Shougo Asagi!

I havent watched the other anime that you're talking about. But Ka is just an egyptian word for the mortal soul, and ba is the immortal soul.
