I am playing pokemon Emerald and Im in Lilycove City and have already gotten the magma emblem, but I got it before I beat team aqua in the cave. Did I have to beat team aqua first if so do I have to start the game over. Please help me thanks

I'm not that far yet, but I highly doubt you have to start over. Just go there and beat them now would be my guess.

So what do I do now I cant get in the cave to beat team aqua.

go over to the road between rocky pass the road just before flannerys gym you should have fought a magma there before go back and the area will react to the emblem

ok I have gone to the road and the aera responded now what.

go into the newly opened doorway and battle your way to the leader beat him then watch the cenimatic where groudon wakes up and leaves then go to slateport watch aqua steal the sub then go to there lilycove base.
